Keeps you dry
I just bought this rainsuit before my first trip, hoping I wouldn't need it. Turns out I wore it every day of my trip but one. The jacket and pants kept me dry from the rain. At 6'5", 230 lbs, I was expecting poor fitment. I ordered an XXL and it fits pretty good over my normal jacket. The 2 items I didn't like about it were the front collar, it seemed to have the scratchy side of the velcro touching my neck somehow. And the cuff on the sleeves. I wish it had some strap that I could velcro a little tighter on the cuffs instead of just having 2 pieces of velcro that I fold on to each other. It made it hard to stuff the cuff of the sleeve into my gauntlet gloves and if riding without the gauntlet gloves the cuffs scooped up enough air to blow up my jacket like a balloon.<br /><br />Zippers need to operated like a Tent door flap. Be careful not to catch the fabric in the zipper!<br /><br />Jacket is tougher than a bird. I took a bird in the right bicep and no damage to the jacket.<br /><br />Did it keep me dry? Yes. Was it affordable? Yes. Was it comfortable? Mostly yes. I will wear it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable rainsuit.
First Rain Suit
I had always been reluctant in splurging on any rain gear because of how it might feel like and possibly riding in discomfort. Then I was caught in the rain more than a few times and I finally had to try something. This was the first rain suit Id ever bought and worn and it came thru for me with flying colors on several occasions. It made riding in the rain much easier to bear knowing that when I got home my clothes would be dry and clean. Its easy enough to put on but if the weather forecast calls for any rain I wear it up to my waist and the tie off the sleeves around my waist. All in all an excellent buy for around 60 bucks and Ive used for about a year now. It durable and also comes in handy on cold days.
Great for the money
Overall this is a great suit for light to moderate rain. However in heavy downpours it lets water in the crotch. The only thing that I can figure is that the water pools on the seat and it seeps in. I have looked at the pants and couldn't find anything physically wrong with them. Other than that small issue I'm very happy with the performance of this product.
Love the gear great quality and it fit perfectly.. True to size fit.
Hard to complain at this price...
Yeah so for the price this is a good pierce of occasional use gear. The biggest gripe for me is the zippers are small and fussy. I'm typically putting this stuff on on the side of the road in 90+ heat with a thunder storm barreling down on me and it is very annoying to have to fight with the leg zippers and the jacket.<br />I will say it didn't leak so it does the job , I use them a lot so the zipper thing is really chafing me.
Great Rain gear
If you have a belly go one e size bigger in the jacket. I'm 6ft 250 pounds and have long arms. I got an extra lg. Everything fit great but the elastic band in the jacket was tight around my gut.
Does the job
This rainsuit got well tested and only let in a small amount of water.
Skyway rider
Awesome! I have rode over the Skyway Bridge several times pouring down rain with the HIGH WINDS SIGN ON and the Nelson-Rigg SR-6000 Stormrider Rain Suit did it's job. Dry as a whistle! Plus, it's fast and easy to put on when you pull over on the side of the rode.
Solid rain gear
I purchased this product to have as emergency gear. Took my first ride in the rain to test it out. Rode about 40 minutes in a steady rain from 50-70 mph and when I got home I was perfectly dry. Not a drop broke through anywhere. The fit is good - it clings where it needs to - the stirrups are a great addition, and the soft collar was very comfortable against my neck. I'm 5'10, 180, and a large fit over my riding jeans and armored jacket perfectly. I don't know how durable it would be over the long haul, but to just have stashed away in a saddlebag for emergencies, and for the price, it can't be beat! It's also pretty compact when rolled up and should be easy to store without taking up too much space.
For the money, FANTASTIC.
It's not fashionable, it doesn't breathe well, and I doubt it will last more than a few years, but for the price it was fantastic. Spent five hours in the suit in the rain and the first two were completely dry. The second half I didn't seal the jacket properly when putting it back on after lunch, so that's my own fault. After the torrential downpour that exposed my mistake, resealed the jacket and was fine the rest of the day. Dried over night and was just fine in the rain the next day as well. Great purchase.
Jacket okay, pants failed
Granted, one cannot expect GoreTex performance from a suit at this price. However, the pants totally failed while riding 3 miles in a light shower. The hood is an awesome feature, and the jacket held up fine. My thighs and knees though were between damp and wet.<br /><br />Definitely worth investing in better protection.
great value suit
Ok if you are some candy ass who never rides in the rain don't bother reading this review. This is a great buy and a great rain suit to have in the saddle bags. The price was right for a cheap old bastard like me.The protection is excellent for riding in the rain, The cut is large enough to easily slip into over any riding gear you may be wearing when the storm hits. Would buy again if needed as this is a quality suit for a fair price.
Good gear, good value.
Gear works great, keeps clothing dry and doesnt leak.
Nelson-Rigg SR-6000 Stormrider Rain Suit
The two piece rain suit, Jacket & Pants are 100% waterproof. The jacket's zipper with Velcro keeps the water out and the large cooling vents under the arms provide great air flow. The elasticized waist band and adjustable on both the jacket and pants cuff with Velcro are comfortable. The reflective striping on both jacket and pants are great for night riding. This is an excellent product and I highly recommend it.
It is an adequate product.
Effective rain protection is provided with this product and the price is right.ot
Better than Frogg Toggs
Ive been an all-weather rider for 15 years and have used a lot of cheap rain gear. Im getting old and fat and got tired of the crotch ripping out of my Frogg Toggs when I threw a leg over the bike so I decided to upgrade. <br /><br />Ive only ridden in the rain twice in this year but I stayed dry both times. The fit is true, I would recommend going a size up if youre wearing it over other gear. The crotch seams appear to be tough and Im hoping they hold up. There were some loose threads in the crotch when I got the gear but that could be from redundant stitching. <br /><br />I would recommend these to a friend.
Don't waste your time and money.
I've used it 3 times, never kept me dry once. Pants leaked from day one, You're going to sweat in it because there are no vents and it doesn't breath and now after 2 years the PVC coating that made the jacket work is literally pealing off the inside so now the jacket is garbage too and it's just out of warranty. Buy a breathable better suit, this one will disappoint you.
Worked well on 3600 mile trip with numerous rain storms including some heavy thunder showers.
Works well for the money. I hit at least 10 showers/storms on a HD Street Glide at freeway speeds. At one point I was riding in the rain for about 4 hours. The lower legs have zippers, so I was able to put on the pants with my boots on. Trying to put it on in the rain was a hassle but I wouldn't call that a con of the suit.<br />Pros: inexpensive, yellow is visible, kept me dry & warm (at times for hours and heavy rain), held up with no tears, broken zippers, lower leg zippers allowed me to put it on over boots.<br />Cons: It was difficult to zip up the lower legs without snagging the fabric. The jacket zipper has very fine teeth which may be delicate (?). However, this is probably good for keeping out water. It may get hot on warm days.
Does the job
Have used the rain suit on a number of occasions - I live in an area with strong summer rain, particularly in the afternoons. This product does its job well. I've never been on long wet rides with it, so can't comment on that aspect. <br />The only downside I would say is the very light and cheap zips which will get caught in your pants, clothing and the suit itself unless you are extremely careful zipping and unzipping.
Works?until it doesn't.
Everybody loves these and I get it; For the one and a half seasons that they were waterproof, they were one of the best rain suits I had ever had. Halfway through season two they pretty much entirely failed. All the waterproofing started chipping away from the neck at just that point that allows water to run straight down your back, and of course the seat of my pants was constantly soaked. So yeah, for the short time that they worked they were phenomena; But I don't care if 70 bucks is considered cheap, It better last more than a year and a half.
Jacket is Great, Bottoms Are Terrible
The pants I received were absolute garbage. The first ride with them was fine but the seaming in both the knees tore open in several places causing my legs to soak through. After the 4th or 5th ride the elastic on the footing ripped off. The jacket works great but I can't recommend this product from how poorly the bottoms held up on a few very mild rides.
Two suits - Two day test
Purchased two suits for a long trip on which we expected rain. We got lots of rain! Wore the suits for two days of constant rain on secondary roads and freeway, speeds 55 to 70 mph on adventure bikes. Here's what we found:<br />Pluses: Suits kept us mostly dry, but not completely. High Vis. jacket is very visible, this might be the suit's best feature. During moderate rain and lots of spray on the freeway we were easy to see. Suit was pretty easy to put on. <br />Minuses: One pant leg split up the side, not on a seam, just straight up from the bottom hem. Two days of use and into the trash! One other leg had a zipper that stopped working. Now, that boot must come off before the suit goes on.<br />Conclusion: Suit will keep you fairly dry even in heavy rain, just know that it's light duty and could fail just when you need it.
great
all good runs a lil small but great for the price
Great Product
Does a great job of keeping rain off, also works great as a windbreaker on cold days. Well constructed and over-sized to fit over your gear. Hi-Viz is bright and is an added bonus. Ships in a resealable carry bag.
You get what you pay for.
Works ok in a light rain, but fails miserably in a heavy downpour. I just finished riding 112 miles in a downpour and it failed everywhere there is a seam or zipper. I'm soaked from the knee down, and wet from my hip down to my boots. All along the zipper, my chest and stomach is wet. The upper pert of the arm billows out in the wind creating drag that pulls at the cuff until it moves off of your gloves and up your arm exposing everything to rain. The cuff itself is hard to velcro down due to the difficulty in folding the material and pulling the strap down to get it to hold. But, you get what you pay for.
High and Dry
This suit did a great job of keeping dry during this past Daytona bike week. We rode home on Thursday and twice were caught in a downpour and the suit performed flawlessly. Buy 1 size larger than you would normally so that you can still wear it over warm clothes. Great value as well.
Buy the size you wear
The online said they run a little bit smaller. Well then don't
For the price, your #winning
Bought this for cheap, and for under $100 dollars it does everything you can expect for rain gear in the price range. Pressure points (knees, shoulders) will soak through on long rides with significant precipitation and of course the crotch will leak, but no surprise there. Biggest downside is the lack of a heat shield, touch those pipes and it melts quick. Upside is the warmth. Due to the PVC like construction it will help you keep you warm. I did a 700 mile turn and burn in it through heavy rain with temps in the 30-40s the whole way and with out heated gear. I wouldnt say it was fun, but I wasnt jackhammering off of the bike at 65 MPH either. Overall, 4 out of 5 for the price. If you are looking to ride daily through a hurricane and stay dry, spend the big money and get something else. If you are looking for something cheap and easy to stuff in the bags for that unexpected turn in the weather, or just an inexpensive alternative to get you by, this 2-piece will giter done
First Rain Suit Ever
Thought I'd chime in with a review, although it's more about fitment and quality as I've yet to ride with it in any conditions. I'm not a rain rider, but I bought this for the big "what if". It's nice to have in case of surprise rain and the aftermath of wet roads and dirty road spray. But most, such as me, would like to know about fitment, quality and value as well.<br /><br />Fitment: <br />I had a few questions regarding this resorting to a brief online chat with a Nelson-Rigg representative. My measurements are: Chest 38", waist 34" and inseam 29-30". I weigh 170 lbs (no belly gut) and height is 5'-7". I wear protective gear including padded Power-Trip mesh jacket and full leg Dianese armor under whatever pants I wear. After my chat the NR rep recommended the Medium. I can say after test fitting last night, the rain-suit fits perfectly. The top is easy getting on over my jacket, the cuffs adjust with Velcro to enclose your wrists and the soft lined collar comes up high enough to reach the underside of your helmet (full-face). There is a hood which can be worn by those choosing not to wear a helmet, but I can see this as a plus to encapsulate your neck by wearing the hood under your helmet as well. The pants have no waist drawstring, but the elastic is snug enough on my 34" waist with belt and protective jacket underneath, and also has room to expand a whole lot more for those with a bit more belly than I. I was able to slide the pants on pretty easy over my AXO Striker boots (size 10). Even though the pant legs open wider via the zipper and a gusseted area, you'll probably have to work the pants over your boots cautiously so as not to snag and rip the pant material. Once on though, the pants fit nicely, not too snug and with enough room for maneuverability. The elastic stirrups go on the outside of your boots and tuck nicely in-between the heel and middle of your sole. I can't see how any water will be getting into this suit.<br /><br />Quality:<br />It's a sort of rubberized soft plastic material. Not your typical plastic raincoat, but a nice and smooth flowing material that drapes your figure well (yes, I said that and I've never modeled on a catwalk, LOL). The seams are all double-stitched and sealed for water intrusion prevention. The Velcro areas (wrist, belly/chest, and neck) are generously wide and the zippers are very smooth flowing. Just be careful not to catch loose material in the zippers, especially the pant legs. I really like the design of the suit which reminds me of my race suit in NDRA back in the day. The hi-viz yellow is attractive and definitely eye-catching which is what you want in not-so favorable weather conditions. The reflective strips are nicely integrated throughout the suit. My wife says I look like a fire-fighter ... nothing wrong with that; I just hope she meant the calendar versions. ;)<br /><br />Value:<br />Like I said, it's the first rain suit I've ever had. But for $63 shipped, I'd say that's a deal for a name-brand quality product of this nature. It comes in it's own pouch and I'm able to fold the top and bottom flat enough into the bag to fit in my Icon Squad 3.0 back-pack along with other work items I carry day-to-day. I can't see it as an every-day wearable item under harsh conditions, but for the every-now-and-then insurance I'd say it's well worth the money. <br /><br />I gave it an overall rating of 4 stars ONLY because I am not including a review of the Protection & Durability, Airflow and Features (as used in variable conditions). I will try to update my review here as time goes by and I have the opportunity to use it in real-world conditions.
Nelson-Rigg Stormrider Rain Suit in size SM
Size is true, so don't order a larger size due to having riding gear below; the size reflects that already. I had a quite bulky (and heavy) jacket, and the suit fitted with room to spare. Pants were a little hard to put over boots, but I had low boots. With high boots, it'd be impossible IMO, so plan on having to remove the boots first, since the zippers don't open high enough for that IMO. I only used the suit twice so far, but seem sturdier than I expected, so hopefully it'll last for a while. The cheapest Nelson-Rigg supposedly isn't as durable, so I sprang for this one, and don't regret my purchase. Hope this helps.
better than expected
We bought two sets for a trip we were taking, on the way back we got caught in the storm that brought louisville 7" in 24 hrs. We went through one hour of a deluge of rain. Thought we would be wet, but we were bone dry..I was amazed. We only have half face shields so neck areas got wet, even though we wore protection. With that, I had small area down chest that was wet, but not complaining! Overall very happy.
Excellent for the Cost
I bought these three years ago before going on my first bike trip. After a half year of never using them I decided to test them out and had a small leak which I learned was user error. Make sure all the velcro strips are sealed up on the front. By the end of that year I had started daily riding as long as snow or ice wasn't on the roads. After the ~2.5 years of daily riding I've had 2 leaks. Both were me being a hurry and forgetting to double check the velcro on the front or around the neck. In that time I'd say I've used the rain suit roughly 30 times. I was initially worried it would tear while being put on and off multiple times as it seemed thin, but it has held up fine. <br /><br />Overall, there is better gear with better features and better airflow, but not at this price. This has been an excellent rain suit and if mine ever fails I won't hesitate to buy another.
descent quality. good value
Here in Florida if you ride much at all, you'll be getting wet. I used to have the mentality that I'd just ride through the rain, then ride long enough afterwards to air dry myself. That gets old after a while. This rain suit is a good one to roll up in a saddlebag or even strap to the back seat just in case. They aren't the most premium item, but I toss it around and shove it in bags and don't really care if it get's a rip or anything. I end up replacing them about every two years and they are priced well enough I can do that. They do the job though when the rain starts coming. Quick and easy to throw on under an overpass or at a gas station. Then I don't have to strip off my clothes in the garage when I get home because I'm actually dry.
Satisfied with the purchase.
If you're anything less than a fat guy, buy it. The jacket is really well made, and seems sturdy. The pants are, well, pants. Well worth the price. <br /> Now I'm 6' 360lbs. The wide elastic across the back of the jacket is impressive, stretching possibly 6" so I can zip it up. Couldn't wear my regular riding jacket underneath. I'd LOVE to see more fat guy gear available, especially value oriented product, like this.
Be gentle putting them on.
2nd time putting on the pants, I busted out the seam on the butt area. The one time I did get to use the pants, they did keep me dry & blocked out the wind.
Good fit and great quality. Kept me dry from New York to South Carolina.
BETTER THAN FROG TOGGS
This rainsuit is GREAT. It keeps me dry and the two-piece style makes easy on and off. Buy one. You will not regret it.
I still got wet.
I purchased two sets of rain gear for an upcoming trip where my wife and I used the rain gear during the first day of travel. The rain gear fit well over our protective gear without issues. However, approximately 3 hours in to our travels, my left leg from my knee and into my boot became saturated. I believe this was caused by a seem in the leg not being properly taped. That being said, without the rain gear I would have been much worse and I am overall Somewhat satisfied.
Works as advertized
XL rain suit fits over my XL riding gear, keeps water out. Not much else to say.
Huge waste of money
A huge waste of money. I bought this rain suit in 2023 but have only worn it twice. It was stored inside the house and never exposed to the weather.<br /><br />The second time I used it the inside PVC liner shredded it off all over my clothes And onto my boots. I was soaking wet. .<br /><br />I would never recommend this product to anyone especially a friend.
Fit great over existing gear and kept me dry.
This suite did the job. Got caught in the rain unexpectedly and was happy to have this in my saddlebag. Only issue was that it did hold heat in so things got a little foggy in the helmet. Not a major issue.
Keeps you DRY
I?ve been in torrential downpours. The only thing that?s ever gotten wet we?re my feet. I need new boots.
Kinda like trash
The seams tore on the right arm within the 1st two hours of riding... Sad day considering I got it today and it's suppose to pour all day tomorrow. :'(
Good rain protection
I first used these on ride across Tennessee. They are good at keeping the water off of you in a downpour. If it's hot and humid though you will be soaked from sweat. They fit well over other riding gear. If you don't need gore-tex gear, just something to throw on quickly, then these are a good value for your money.
Gave it a second chance for nothing.
Got this suit last year, worn once did fine, worn a second and I got soaked as the inner liner peeled off. Returned it and got another to give it a second chance. Wore the new suit for first time and within 10 minutes I was soaked with the inner liner peeling off in same spot as previous suit. Give it a try if you like, but it failed me 2 out of 3 times.
Quality
Ordered this and when I received it, the Velcro came unstitched out of the box, so I called for an exchange and when I received the second set, in the same spot there was a tear in the threads of the Velcro. I tried it on and it fits well and seemed comfortable but just a shame I wasn't able to see if it worked
Looks good, performs very badly.
Pants leaked first major rainstorm at crotch, soaking my pants.<br />Jacket sleeves have pleated flexible ends, these are inadequate to cinch around jacket in highway. Rain ran right past.<br />Will be returning the whole suit, very disappointed.
Big disappointment
Big dissapointment. poor stitching quality and cheapie zipper, but what really got me was the sizing chart the jackets and pants recieved are not even close to the measurements in the size chart in fact the sleeve on the MED size jacket is 6 inches shorter than the chart says. Went back and checked the chart again and found all of the mesuremnet were 15%-20% off. I can't use these at all. the sizing chart should be removed form the website.
Great rain gear
Got the suit and it proceeded to rain for the next 3 days. I was 100% dry every day. This suit is great. Totally recommend it for anyone that uses their bike to commute.
Works well
Great rain suit. If you put it on right (all velcros attached, rubber bands on the leg part under your boot, etc.), you can ride through very heavy rain and stay dry. I like that the jacket has a hoodie, which you can use off the bike, so you don't need a separate raincoat. It blocks wind completely, which may be useful when it's very cold outside. I have the one with high-vis colors, and drivers do notice me in the rain.
Affordable Rain Suit Option Easily Stowed
Seems like quality material that should hold up well as long as you're not abusing it. DO NOT ORDER ACCORDING TO THEIR SIZING CHART. Order the size you normally wear. According to their chart, I needed a Large. I had to return it and ordered the 2XL, my normal size. With the proper size, the jacket will more than comfortably fit over your riding gear. The pants accommodate a wide range of waste sizes and will fit over riding pants. My only concern is the bottoms of the pants, though zippered, look a little narrow to try and squeeze riding boots/shoes through. Other than that, I'm kind of looking forward to getting some rain to see how it actually performs.
Wont buy again
I was really excited about this product however in a moderate rain storm the top half was soaked to my waist. The neck closure leaves a gap that allows the rain in. I loved everything else about the fit and style.
Nice quality and great fit
Im 61 300lbs. Although I am a big guy, Im not all gut and this suit fit very well. Room enough to move and not cling, but not to baggy where it becomes a parachute.
Its a rainsuit that works
Extremely functional. It's going to stay on the bike full time as a safety rain suit in case of unexpected weather. Keeps wind and rain out. They got tested when a windy rain storm hovered over us for an entire 4 hour ride through the mountains. Perfectly dry. I think I misunderstood the sizing and ordered a 2XL for myself and a L for my partner. I am 6' tall with 33 waist and normally wear Large, I ordered the 2XL thinking I would need the extra room to go over top of riding gear. Seems the extra room is built in as the stretch is this suit is very generous. Even over a 3 layer winter riding jacket the L fits nicely and that's what I would order for myself if I had to do it again. Since it's just a "use in a pinch" suit that stays in the bike I'm happy to keep the 2XL and slide it on long enough to get through the rain. I ordered based on the reviews and ratings and I made the right decision. It's not stylish, it's a rainsuit, and the yellow color keeps me dry and visible.
Just what I needed
I bought this for a trip up the Oregon coast. Needed it for one very rainy day. Slipped over my bulky jacket, riding pants and riding boots. Zippers worked well. The neck collar was too tight but it still kept the water out. Was completely dry upon arrival in Portland.
Soaked to the skin
I brought this rain suit for a specific group ride where I knew there was a high chance of rain in the afternoon (I live in Costa Rica and it is the rainy season now) Sure enough at about 3pm the clouds started coming over so we all stopped before the rain and suited up. This meany I had time to carefully make sure all the fasteners were tight and correctly fitted. I was instantly VERY warm but had expected that. We started off again and I cooled a little with airflow Ten minutes later the rain came down hard and it took me about an hour to get home. By the time I arrived at home I was totally soaked from head to foot. Even some cash I had in the inside pocket of my mesh jacket was wet. My jeans were soaked front and back. This suit may work in light rain, I am sure I will find out, but in heavy rain it was almost useless.
No storage bag!?
The suit seems great! But no storage bag?? Even the cheap suits come with a storage bag.??
A good rainsuit for a good price
I've only used the suit once. It worked well for me. i did not get wet even after riding for several hours in the rain. It held up well while I was driving 70mph+ in the rain for those hours. I am quite happy with it. <br /><br />It takes a bit of effort to get it on, so I hope that I won't have to do that when I'm pulled over and beneath an overpass. For example, I couldn't pull the pants over my boots, so it would be messy to remove my boots on the wet ground, pull up the pants, and then put the boots back on. So, if you think that you will be riding in the rain, put it on before you take off.
Just ok.
Looks good. Waterproof. Packs medium. Reflective is good. <br /> Pant zippers are terrible and fabric at bottom of pants wears quickly. Don?t kneel on the asphalt or it will puncture. <br />Does not breath at all. Suffocating in fact.
Rain suit
This suit changes rain riding from messy, cold and painful into pleasant and dry.<br />Pants are both loose enough to put over boots and jeans and fitted enough to not slide off.<br />Due to elastics in jacket part it fits me quite well both directly over T-shirt or with my mesh jacket under.<br />Can?t testify how it would hold during all day rainy ride, but during 20 minute commute it keeps my work clothes clean and dry even in a downpour.<br />Very pleasant up to 70 degrees. Bearable up to 80-85 provided it?s raining and I?m moving.
Decent gear at a good price
Gear held up well in some W. Virginia thunderstorms. Great value and it?s relatively easy to get on/off quickly.
Good to keep in the panniers.
Good wet and cold-weather gear. If it gets chilly on the ride home, I can toss 'em over my vented jacket and stay warm. Keeps you dry during the rain as well, just need to keep it fully buttoned up. Not sure how well it'd work with a lower windshield if rain came up at you, but works well on my ADV with a decent windshield.
Terrible purchase
Ripped apart my first ride. Crotch was wet within 10 minutes of a hard rain and the sleeves ripped apart at high speeds. Don't go over 60 and it might last, just don't expect to stay dry from the waist down.
good one, good price, good quality
Nice rain suit, actually y second Nelson Rigg. It keeps my dry during a Miami storm. Very nice the pant loop that goes under the boot and prevents the pant to shink when you flex the knee, so, no more water inside the boot. Since I live in Miami, I always keep it on the bike for unexpected showers, so is a good rain suit, and the price is better.
Zipper waterproofing didn't work.
Leaked through both legs through the zipper. Got soaked.
This suit is hard to rate: The jacket is waterproof and high viz, but doesn't pack well. The pants are great.
It's difficult to give this a specific rating because the usability of the top and bottom half is so different. The quality of both halves is high, but the jacket is just too bulky and heavy to make it usable as every day kit. It's also sized too small to fit over the armored textile jacket I usually use. It's basically a very good, but completely non-breathable, rain slicker for use off the bike, that is also usable as a main jacket on the bike.<br /><br />I don't love to ride without armor, but that is really the only way I can use the jacket, I have to take off my jacket (or remove the pads) an put this on instead.<br /><br />OTOH, I didn't return the set because the pants are just about perfect to be packed with my ever day kit and used in combination the 3+ season jacket I use that is already waterproof. I only use my mesh jacket on days that have no chance of rain, so these pants and my 3+ season jacket are my go-to rain gear now. I would definitely take the jacket along if i were doing a long tour because it has extremely good high viz coloring. And if I'm doing highway miles in the rain, I'd rather be seen and NOT HIT then not be seen and have protected elbows. (CE armor doesn't do much if you get hit by a truck!)
Saddlesore 1000 through heavy rains
I just finished a saddlesore 1000 and we hit heavy rain about 5 different times, each time the rain lasted for about two hours. <br />I mainly used the pants for a quick on and off and my jeans stayed completely dry the whole time. I liked the zippers on the bottom of the legs, I was able throw on the pants easily without removing my boots. <br /><br /> For the price I would definitely buy again if this rips on me.
Mediocre at best
Not bad for the price but I'm not very happy overall. I have been using this rain gear for about 18 months and it now leaks like crazy. The pants are a pain to get on, and the side zippers on the pants have been a nightmare, constantly jamming since day one.
Brother
Fit was good, pants a little long but good
Over priced garbage
Why would you have to remove your boots on the side of the road in the rain to put on rain pants? 47 miles into first time wearing right pant leg ripped on something, had to repair with gorilla tape. After a full day of riding in rain found right side pocket torn at seam. On the plus side I stayed reasonably dry. Garbage!
Good Value for inclement weather
Sized nicely for going over my protective gear. Easy to put on, easy to stash in a small bag. Doesn't take much room when it's collapsed down.
Pants run small
I have worn the suit already. It kept me dry. Not sure how the material will hold up, as I already made a small tear trying to put the rolled hood under the collar. The jacket was a great fit for a man?s small. But the pants are very small waisted and short. So they are even tighter when sitting on the motorcycle. I typically wear a Womens size 10. I wish the pieces were sold separately. I would of returned the pants for a medium.
Ride anytime rain or shine
Excellent! The Nelson-Rigg Stormrider rain suit is just what I needed- lightweight and high visibility with good durable & flexible material at the right price - I ordered size large and it fits nicely over my padded riding jacket (size large). Bring on the rain !
Raincut
Raincut woth the price I paid for it.<br />Some layers parts are unstitched.<br />Someway the water gets inside, no 100% waterproof
Not as expected.
The quality seems okay, but the ?elasticized waste? isn?t the waste, it?s the middle of the abdomen. It fits like a woman?s jacket. No photos show this, and it?s not explained well either.
Very good rain gear for the money
I've used this rain gear in torrential downpours and damp fog, every time it has performed well. I did have an issue with the collar ripping some when I was trying to get the hood part out, but so far it hasn't affected the performance. The fit on the pants is a bit weird and the zippers generally get stuck in the pant leg every time; one of these days I'm not going to be able to get it unstuck. But for the price they do what they claim they do and they have kept me dry on more than one occasion!
Just Wear a Trash Bag, its basically the same thing.
I should have known better but I decided to go with this as a simple go to option for summer showers for my commute. It is HORRIBLY uncomfortable. It gets two starts because it is water proof until it rips. I put this on once then for every rain ride since I have just decided to get wet cause it is more comfortable. I have a short commute and change when I get to work so not a big deal. The zippers on the pants are close to inoperable. Horrible to get them on and off especially if you are being careful so you dont rip them. The jacket is the best part of this and works fine but hot as can be. Its PVC what was I expecting? I should have returned but figured it would be good to have if it is pouring and want some protection.
Very good, and it works!
Great rain suit, kept me dry on a 300 mile rainy ride. Only negative: it does not breath well. Think one piece leather skin suit in July in Florida. Other than that it is great!
Nice Suit
We got the orange and it looks great.Airflow isn't that great but then again we didn't spend big bucks on it.We live in Florida and in the summer it rains every day and this does a great job at what it's suppose to do,keep you dry!
HUGE!
I mean, it does fit over my riding gear, but man, this thing is huge. I make the Michelin Man look like Pee Wee Herman when I put this on.
Good emergency rain suit for price.
Pants get caught in the zipper everytime it's used
1st time trying to use these three pant zippers got caught and took a long time to ferry out of zipper. Same problem each time I used it after that. I wanted to like these but I was so frustrated trying to zip the pants up each time. Everyone else was dressed and ready to go and im spending 5 min bites trying to get the zipper unstuck each time. I'd highly recommend spending a little more and getting something better. I was very disappointed in these
decent
the pants have have worked perfectly where as the jacket has started falling apart. leaks near the shoulder areas and i believe the insides are started to break apart. still keeps you 80% dry so it gets the job done.
Great Suit, saved my butt in cold weather too
Not only is this rain suit an amazing deal at this price point, but it literally saved my butt when I got caught out in some unexpected cold weather far from home. Just through it over my gear and it kept the wind off of me well enough for me to get home without any major issues. I have worn it in the rain too, worked exactly as expected.
just what I needed: a bright trash bag
After getting caught in the rain I promised myself that would never happen again. I set out for an inexpensive, waterproof, bright rain suit that I could easily keep in my top case. This worked fantastically. No water got through to my clothes, however no air did either (something to keep in mind)
I got soaked to the bone!
Worthless to me.<br />Plus the inner coating peels off.
The fit was spot on.Two rainy rides now without issue. Great Product / Great Price!
Typhoon Mangkhut
I rode through Taiwan during typhoon Mangkhut for two days with this rain suit on, my legs stayed bone dry, my shirt did get a little wet because I didn't properly overlap the flaps and velcro on the front of the jacket. I'd say it was money well spent, I don't ride in the rain intentionally here in the US, but I'll definitely bring the suit along on my next big adventure. I ordered a large and maybe had too much room in both the jacket and pants, but having too much coverage is better than too little. 5'9" 44" chest, 40" waist, 30" inseam, athletic build. Wearing a Large Rev'it Tornado 2 jacket. Looking fashionable in well fitted rain gear should be the least of your concern when riding in less than ideal conditions. I paired these with the TourMaster Deluxe Boot covers.
Fell Apart Before I Got to the Rain...
I saw on the radar it was supposed to rain on my way to visit family 4 hours away, so I threw it on for the first time. After an hour I heard a buzzing/flapping noise....the back had completely ripped open! I stopped halfway there and almost every seam had ripped apart. I couldn't believe it...it hadn't even started raining yet!<br /><br />Maybe it would have stayed together better if it was wet but I doubt it. I would rather spend $3 on a cheap poncho than $50 on this...luckily the rain never came that day but lesson learned.<br /><br />Before it became confetti though it did look sharp and was very windproof, you definitely get sweaty underneath it.
Great price. Works like it should.
6'2" @ 180Ibs, XL.<br /><br />Purchased this suit for my BRC as they recommended it in case it rained during the course, which it did. The coat is pretty nice though very basic and cheap. Just remember, you didn't pay much for this. Very thorough sealing of the zipper area and a comfortable jacket. Great windbreaker as well. It does have breather vents by the armpits but for the most part, this coat does not move air. You'll stay warm and dry, for sure.<br /><br /> I was more disappointed with the fit of the pants. I got the XL because of previous reviews and that I personally have long arms and legs. The pants were fine while standing. Once you got on the bike though, these got pretty tight. Not unbearable but still uncomfortable. The straps that go under your foot helped to keep the pants from riding up but also prevented the pants from flexing once on a bike or sitting. That's really my main issue and the reason why I placed the fit rating as slightly small. A nice feature was the zippered bottoms that allowed the pants to be put on without taking your shoes off.<br /><br />Not sure how long it will last, but for a quick pinch and a cheap option, This is certainly worth the money.
Rain Suit
Bought it for my husband since we were going to the mountains and it's been raining every day in July. Bought the 2XL so it would fit over his jeans and his armored Vanson jacket. He is usually an XL, 6'1", but after reading the reviews that the pants were too short I upped the size and it worked perfectly!
Good quality product
I bought this suit to replace my worn out other Neson-Rigg, they dont produce the model I owned anymore so I bought this one which seemed very similar. In fact it is similar except that it's a bit too heavy. Riding in the rain during summer days is just impossible, air flow is not as good so I feel like inside a green house. The material is strong and sturdy, I recon it will provide an excellent protection during colder autumn rides. I have a bit of a complain about the collar. It's too stiff, hurts under my chin and adam's apple, so I just leave it loose. Flapping does not bother since I wear full face helmet otherwise this collar would be a problem.
Not good
Not impressed. Wore for a couple hours and the seams started coming apart. Working on warranty claim with company.
Good Suit, Reasonable Price.
Typical difficulties getting into and out of this suit. Ran into rain just north of Commerce, GA on 441 and pulled over at a gas station to don the suit. The rain stayed with us till we rolled up in the driveway 165 miles later. But we remained warm and dry. Suit worked as advertised. Appreciate the gaiter straps to keep the cuffs down over the boots. Also appreciate the high velcro-secured collar to keep the rain out of the inside.
C
Light weight and packs small, which is good, but lets some water in at the crotch.
I really like the way NR rain suits fits and protects.
I had one of these before (my scooter was stolen with it in it), and I knew I wanted to have the same one again. It fits well and gives great protection.
Very disappointing!
The suit looks, fits, and feels great on! However, the jacket zipper stitching came apart as soon as I unzipped from trying it on!!!!<br /><br />Very disappointing!
Sizing issue
Quality of construction is good but sizing is not good for me. I will keep it as I am loosing weight but 4x runs small with no extra room for heavy clothing underneath. Definitely not a 64 chest as advertised
Good Quality
Seems to be good quality; better than I expected. The pants are a little big in the waste, but the jacket fits perfectly.
Storm Rider
Works perfect fits like a glove with or without my regular jacket.... And always comes in handy!
The suit was as wet on the inside as it was on the outside - but not from rain.
I bought this rain suit ahead of a cross country trip. I liked the styling and the price was right. On my trip from the west coast to the east, I had no rain - until the last two days. I didn't look forward to riding in the rain but, hey, I was prepared - I thought. The suit worked very well and kept the rain out - EXCEPT - it felt like I was wrapped in Saran Wrap. This material does not breath at all. After riding 400 miles in the rain in about 70 degree temps, the inside of the suit was as wet as the outside. It keeps body heat trapped and gives the perspiration nowhere to go. It was awful. My mistake for not buying a higher quality product for my application - I should have bought something made with Gore Tex (which I will do ASAP). This suit may be fine for a brief shower on a short ride but DO NOT buy this for serious touring use.
Great, especially for the price.
Works great, it can get a little warm, when hot out. But it does the job just fine.
Soaked throughout, Don't buy it!!
Totally worthless piece of Sh**. Rode for a couple of hours in a heavy rain and was totally soaked throughout. Good thing it was warm or it could have been very bad. DO NOT trust this rain gear to keep you warm and dry when you need it. I selected 1 star because 0 wasn't an option..!!<br /><br />Probably OK to wear from your car to Starbucks, but that's about it. Im very disappointed with wasting my money on this suit.
Not bad for the price
Right out of the package the velcro ripped on the jacket flap but I have bought much more expensive rain gear than this so didn't expect much for the this price. Fit is good vary comfortable to ride in I'm in Florida and ride at least 5 days a week so this thing gets used a lot. The crotch leaks bad and you look like you pissed your pants so that is my biggest problem with it. This would not be something I would buy again and I will probably throw this in my work truck when I save the $$$ for a much better suit.
Keeps you dry...
This is a good rain gear set, especially for the price. I've had mine for 2 years and my only complaint is the inside lining is starting to flake off in the pants. So sometimes you get little white pieces of the lining on your clothes. Not a big deal, but it is a bit annoying. Air flow is poor but rarely am I sweating in the rain so it isn't too bad. This set definitely does its job and keeps you dry.
Awesome rain gear
Ive worn this stuff countless times in the rain and it works great.
Nice insurance policy
Packs up small so theres no excuse not to carry this with you. Its waterproof, so definitely good for the rain, but also good as an extra layer on this cold day.
A moderately priced suit that keeps me dry.
I am a daily commuter on my motorcycle, and don't always have access to a car for those rainy days. This suit keeps my work attire (business casual) dry from the rain. It can compact down enough to be in a backpack, so I bring it for the risk of rain. <br /><br />its not stylish, although the orange matches my bike, but I bought it for function, not style. Its also not particularly comfortable. But I'm often wearing it over an outfit and things like that are rarely "comfortable". the large is a little big on me, but i kept it because, again, its being worn over suits on occasion.
Well worth the the bucks and shipping was speedy
perfect for getting caugh in the rain or just when it gets chilly. would defenitly recommend
Great Product for the Price, But ...
I bought this rain suit because it got good reviews and the price was right. Based on the reviews and the construction material, it's not for everyday or heavy use- I get that. I bought it for those occasional times I get caught in the rain on long rides. I like the fit and the look and it is tight. I I've gone through three storms and have not had any leakage through the suit. I would buy this product again, but be advised of the following observation: the arms and legs don't have a feature to cinch them up tighter (the material around my leg was loose and made contact under the heat shield of my exhaust pipe causing it to melt a big hole). I fixed the problem by purchasing some reflective arm bands and wrapped them over my calves to cinch up any excess material and it did the trick. Other than that, I'm pleased and would buy this again.
Good jacket for the price
I bought this suit because I lost my other one.How do you lose an important piece of riding gear?I moved.<br /><br />The fit is true.I bought a size larger to wear it over my riding gear.it does not have a vent across the back,so it balloons a little annoying.the sleeves have Velcro closures. It's a good piece of very basic gear.It will do what you want a rain suit to do with no frills.Want a better suit spend more
Nelson-Rigg SR-6000 Stormrider Rain Suit
Quality suit. I am a 170 lbs./ 5'10" and wear a large jacket and medium pants in normal clothes. The large fits good and is large enough to go over my existing motorcycle jacket. Pants have elastic straps to attach under boots. Has a hood and it fits under my helmet, which I really liked. Good overall purchase, especially for the low cost.
Melted to cruiser exhaust
This got 3 stars because the pants melted from my exhaust on the bike. Other than that the jacket and pants worked great, I rode through some pretty heavy rain off and on and stayed perfectly dry. If not for the melting these would be a perfect 5 but I'm not sure any rain gear such as this does not melt. This rain gear does not breath, but nothing like this will, still comfortable in southeast Texas humidity and storms.
Great Inexpensive Emergency Rain Gear
I bought this suit specifically for a trip to the Sierra Madre Oriental Mountains in Mexico. We based out of Galeana, NL, MX and did day rides every day in the mountains on adventure bikes. I was on my 08 R1200gs. I almost didn't get rain gear and just bought this suit as a last minute decision. Glad I did because it rained every single day (not all day mind you but at for at least an hour during each daily ride).<br /><br />We were focusing mainly on dirt roads / paths so keeping "mainly dry" is good enough.<br /><br />This rain gear packs in a relatively small size and is not too difficult to put on. My gear is mainly XL so I bought XXXL in rain gear to fit over my stuff. I over shot a bit and could have probably fit in the XXL but as stated above it was a last minute buy and there would be no time for exchanges so went a size higher to be sure. It kinda worked out because I was able to put the jacket over my backpack as well.<br /><br />This is not fancy rain gear but it works, and is reasonably durable. I didn't care if the rain gear lasted past the week I was in Mexico but after a weak of reasonably hard use it is still in my tank bag ready to go and I expect to get at least a year of use out of it.<br /><br />Great product for the money all in all.
stay dry!!!!
Keeps me dry as a bone in the rain, haven't had any issues and highly recommend this suit
Excellent rain protection. Rode 75 highway miles in a downpour and the rain suit kept me completely dry. Great product.
Good but not great
Decent rain suit for the money. Lightly used and the elastic strap on the right side already broke. Does leak water after about 30 minutes riding in heavy rain. I get water on my shoulders and bottom of shirt. I used to get water on the cuff of my pant legs but since getting some riding boots that has solved that issue. I did also stop at the DMV to get a duplicate title and put it in one of the pockets and it got wet... I'd like something better but again for the money it's a decent purchase.
Good quality for the price.
It fit correctly and wore it on a rainy day and no issues.
Best bang for your buck rain suit
Works great, kept me bone dry in a downpour.
Used it yesterday it worked fine
no,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The sizing is kind of strange, I'm usually an XL or L but their smallest listed size Is bigger than all of my measurements. But they seem to fit OK, haven't had to use them yet, but look like they'll keep you dry.
Great suit/great price!
It's a great suit at a great price. I just wish it can with a storage bag.
Got an xl ans was afraid it was too big. Fits great with room for my winter jacket and sweater. Not too loose without those. Comfortable and well made .
I'm 5'8" 170#. I bought a large to fit over my bike jacket. Rode home 2 hours in a down pour and was bone dry. The jacket held up much better than I hoped.
Looks good
I have not had a need to use it but it looks like a decent rain suit. It fits well over my riding gear. The only downside is that it's a bit bulky to pack. It looks great and has nice Hi Viz highlights on the jacket and reflective strips on the pants.
Great buy for the money
I got to use it for the 1st time today.and it did great for protecting me from the rain. It's comfortable. It fits over my jacket. I like that it has a strap underneath each leg so so that the hand legs stay down and not expose my ankle. The material is solid and doesn't feel like it's gonna rip like other rain suits I've had.
Stay dry, I assume
It?s a little big. Style was better than I expected. It?s probably water proof.
Great suit! Buy the boot covers too!
I bought some cheap ass Frog Togg rain gear before this. Learn the lesson from this review. Just spend the money on something like these Nelson-Riggs. I've done hundreds of rainy miles in this suit and make it to my destination 98% dry. If the downpour is really gnarly you might get some water in-between your waistline area. But that's it from my experience. Oh and make sure you get the boot covers. They're sold separate. But keeping your feet and socks dry on a cold ride is clutch!
Nice suit for increasing comfort in the rain
Even nicer than I thought it would be. The elasticized waist on the jacket is nice. Oher reviews have criticized that the fabric is not breathable. That's true: PVC is not a breathable material. If that feature is important to you, you should spend the extra money to get a breathable fabric.<br /><br />Being an experienced outdoorsman, I believe that the goal while doing anything active in extended rain is to stay warm, not necessarily dry. This suit will meet that goal.
very nice fit, have not tried it on heavy rain yet
Great rain suit
Needed a good rain suit for a dualsport ride. This fit the bill 100%<br />Worked perfectly to keep me dry. Almost too well. Had me sweating inside.
Good quality and reasonable price
I just bought a large and 2xl for my husband and I. I must say I was surprised at the Good quality as these are much less expensive then others I saw. I cant speak to durability or air flow as I havent used them yet (which is why I rated them at a 3) but will try to update this post once we have the opportunity. The suit is light weight and has no padding but if you want something to keep in your saddle bags for just in case this suit seems perfect.
N-R Stormrider Rain Suit
Great fit (I am 6' 3" and thin) - ordered XL. Warm and water tight.
The pants are about 4 sizes to big. Ripped on day one.
Could be worse
What can I say? The right knee leaked, the zipper seam tore and it was so delicate my foot peg ripped a hole in the ankle. But it kept me dry for a few rides, so... there's that I guess.
Worked good!
Didnt wear it through heavy rain but worked so far for light rain
Good For the Price and Light Use
I have had this rain suit for several months now and it works great for when I get caught in rain during my commute to and from work. <br />The pants have saved me the most. Nothing worse then wet jeans to sit in all day at work.<br />On hot humid afternoons this suit can be very hot, but in order to keep water out, it can't be the most breathable, right?<br />Overall they are a great addition to keep in my saddlebags and bright orange is always helpful to be seen in when its raining and typically lower light.
Good for the $ could use more venting
Worked well for my trip used t twice but does get hot
Solid choice for rain protection
I purchased this suit in advance of a two-state ride and was glad I did. Hit some rain in the Colorado Rockies - the suit was relatively easy to get into, roomy enough to go over my chaps and riding jacket, and kept me dry through the storm.<br /><br />Good choice for relatively inexpensive protection.
Good Suit
This suit is a good value. I've used it several times now and it keeps you dry (or at least less wet). Air moves through it enough to keep you cool as long as you are moving. I like it. I have ridden at a good speed through some hefty rain for a long distance. The construction looks like it will hold up for a while. I bought the biggest size they have because I wear it over my armor. The fit is good.
Fits women too
Im a size medium/large woman and I bought a mens small. Both the pants and jacket fit over my gear perfect without being restrictive. I thought the quality was going to be not so good, but its a sturdy set of rain gear. I was hoping it would pack down smaller in my bag, but thats ok. Id rather be dry!
Quality Product!
I bought this rain gear roughly 2 months ago and since then the city Im in has had over 10 days of rain. I keep it in my saddle bag and has Kept me completely dry every time. No Rips or leaks. It also has saved my butt from many cold nights riding home from work; just put a hoody on under and youre good to go. Id highly recommend this product to anyone anytime!
Rainy season
Used this for around six months during rainy season in Costa Rica, all I can say is: this will keep you dry for sure.<br /><br />You may sweat a bit, but that's better than soaked in water.<br /><br />I feel like the marshmallow man, but I suppose that's fine since it goes over your gear (I wear jacket, boots, knee/ship protectors)
You can't go wrong buying this for the rain
I got it for the rain obviously it completely kept the water out which was a big surprise to me specially since I daily commute and we been having crazy rain here so yet if you need rain gear and you don't want to brake the bank this is the best rain gear you should bget
Great rain suit
This suit performed perfectly for me. I like the style and features the fit was true. Easy to strore also. A super value for the price.
Waterproof gear that keeps you dry.
Jacket has closures to tighten the fit around your wrist.<br />Elasticated waist so it doesn't flap around in the breeze.<br />Large front pockets which keep out water.<br />High collar with corduroy liner.<br />Hood.<br /><br />Pants have an elasticated waist.<br />Stirrups to stay down on boots.<br />Zips along sides to accommodate large boots.<br /><br />Keeps you dry, they're cheap, reflective strips. What else do you need?
Okay for the price
Bought this mainly for the pants. First time I used it in the rain, it was perfect! 2nd time in stronger tropical rain here in Manila, the pants leaked! Checked the seams and the leak seemed to be coming from just below the waistline. So I have to make sure to pull the pants high up so the jacket covers the leaky seam. Seems to be working so far.
Better than nothing.
Would be best used in a light rain or short ride. Brought these with me on my ride from Philly to sturgis and hit a lot of weather. After a half hour or so in the rain the pants and jacket are saturated and no longer shed water. Wound up wearing my leather under the jacket to keep the moisture off me. Just delt with my pants being damp all day.
Buy it.
Awesome suit. Compacts well, doesnt retain water, nice feeling material with a good weight to it. I got the yellow one and it looks real sharp. Not much airflow but its not supposed to.. its waterproof. Havent tried out the hood yet but happy it has one. Great suit considering it was also the best deal I could find.
Rain Gear
I really like the Nelson Rigg Rain Suit. It fits me well, with the only exception of the waistband fitting a little snug. The size is a true size, providing that you don't have a big stomach. If needed I would purchase again.
Keeps Me Dry
Buy 1 size up to be safe. Good thing I did or the sleeves would be too short. Not for cold weather and haven't had it long enough to test it's durability. Folds small enough to fit in a saddle bag
Decent rain suit
The good parts: it keeps the rain off of you. Comes with a handy storage bag. Good price. Hood on the jacket rolls up into the collar. Zipper and flaps do a good job of keeping the wet stuff out. Collar is soft and comfy.<br /><br />The bad parts: Pants have developed a tear right in the crotch. Worn them 3 times. Fabric/plastic tore instead of the seam. The elastic waistband is very very very squeezy. That part is made for someone shaped like jessica rabbit. The zippers on the pants leg to let you get your boot through are a nightmare. The thin backing gusset material gets caught multiple times in a trip either closing or opening the flaps.<br /><br />The could be better: Pants need to either be a bit longer, or a bit shorter. If you have a belly they will hit exactly at the largest part, while doing their best to become extraordinarily intimate with your gentlemens region. Or gentlewomans region. The elastic stirrups made to keep the cuffs down will then yank the pants right down off of you if you walk more than a step or two. So if you say, walk into the office you're going to be doing the holding your pants up dance. A pants pocket. Maybe two, as your real pockets are now inside the overpants. Replace the elastic with a basic drawstring.<br /><br />All in all, good function for the money.<br /><br />I'm 6'1, and wear a 3x. Got a 3x suit. While I can get it on over my actual gear, it's a near thing and leads to a bright orange and black michelin man effect. One that's holding up his pants.
Great Bargan - 6 hours in a full Donnybrook
Great choice for a budget priced rain suit, this suit was great. Spent 6 hours in a heavy Midwest rain / thundershower while crossing the Michigan UP.... Car pulling off the road unable to see... standing water on the highway... and was dry.<br /><br />Med Pants were a little short for my 30" inseam - had to remove the straps which caused issues with standing over the 1200 GS I was riding - which is already a challenge with my 30" inseam. Jacket was easy on over my riding coat. Jacket pockets were a challenge with wet gloves. <br /><br />No real airflow when fully zipped. Would be sweaty in hot, wet weather. <br /><br />Long term durability would be a question, but at this price, just get another suite when you need one. <br /><br />Would re-buy - was a great bargain choice
