Frequently Asked Questions
Can I adjust the preload myself?
Yes. The 5-position cam-style adjuster lets you dial preload without tools to match your weight and riding style.
Are these shocks rebuildable?
Input does not specify rebuild options. Contact Progressive directly for service information.
What's the difference between standard and heavy-duty springs?
Standard springs suit lighter riders; heavy-duty springs support heavier loads and two-up riding without bottoming out.
Do these come with chrome covers?
Covers are optional on select models. Check your specific fitment to see if show chrome is available for your bike.

Stiff
The shocks seem super nice, but they are incredibly stiff. Turns out they’re 130/200 top to bottom. Would be nice to have an option to choose your spring rate. Couldn’t find it in the description either. Have them installed on a 1998 sportster 1200 by the way. I’m about 180lbs and they don’t move at all, my friend who weighs about 260 also said they were way to firm. Hope this helps.
