Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between standard and heavy-duty springs?

Standard springs work for most riders. Heavy-duty springs provide extra support if you're a heavier rider or regularly carry a passenger.

Can I adjust the preload myself?

Yes — the 5-position cam adjuster is tool-free. Rotate to your preferred setting to dial in ride height and stiffness.

Do these come with Show Chrome covers?

Show Chrome covers are optional on select applications and sold separately. Standard black or chrome finish is included.

Will these improve my bike's handling?

Yes. The gas-charged, velocity-sensitive design delivers better bump absorption and corner stability compared to worn stock shocks.

Do I need new springs, or can I reuse my stock springs?

Progressive shocks come with your choice of standard or heavy-duty progressive springs included — you do not reuse stock springs.

Stiff

The shocks seem super nice, but they are incredibly stiff. Turns out they’re 130/200 top to bottom. Would be nice to have an option to choose your spring rate. Couldn’t find it in the description either. Have them installed on a 1998 sportster 1200 by the way. I’m about 180lbs and they don’t move at all, my friend who weighs about 260 also said they were way to firm. Hope this helps.
