Frequently Asked Questions

Can I adjust these shocks for my weight?

Yes — the 5-position cam-style preload adjuster lets you dial in damping for light, medium, or heavy riders.

What's the difference between Standard and Heavy-Duty springs?

Standard springs suit average riders; Heavy-Duty springs are stiffer for heavier riders or two-up touring.

Do these come with chrome covers?

Standard models ship without covers. Optional show chrome covers are available for select Harley applications.

Is installation difficult?

Shock installation requires removing the old shocks and bolting on the new ones — a job best handled by a shop or experienced DIY mechanic.

Will these improve my ride quality?

The nitrogen charge and velocity-sensitive valving provide smoother, more consistent damping than worn factory shocks across a wider range of road surfaces.

Stiff

The shocks seem super nice, but they are incredibly stiff. Turns out they’re 130/200 top to bottom. Would be nice to have an option to choose your spring rate. Couldn’t find it in the description either. Have them installed on a 1998 sportster 1200 by the way. I’m about 180lbs and they don’t move at all, my friend who weighs about 260 also said they were way to firm. Hope this helps.
