Frequently Asked Questions
Can I adjust the preload and rebound on the road?
Yes. Both preload and rebound are hand-adjustable, so you can fine-tune the ride without tools between cruises and spirited riding.
Will these fit my 2010+ Dyna?
No — this part is specific to 2006-2009 Dyna models. 2010 and newer Dynas use different shock mounts and require a different part number.
Do I need a shop to install these?
Rear shock replacement is straightforward for most riders with basic tools. If you're not comfortable working on suspension, a dealer or suspension shop can install them quickly.
What's the warranty?
Progressive includes a lifetime limited warranty on these shocks against manufacturing defects.

Stiff
The shocks seem super nice, but they are incredibly stiff. Turns out they’re 130/200 top to bottom. Would be nice to have an option to choose your spring rate. Couldn’t find it in the description either. Have them installed on a 1998 sportster 1200 by the way. I’m about 180lbs and they don’t move at all, my friend who weighs about 260 also said they were way to firm. Hope this helps.
