Frequently Asked Questions

Can I adjust these shocks without tools?

Yes — compression damping, rebound, and spring preload all adjust via external knobs or hand-adjustable eyelet without disassembly.

How much ride height can I change?

The adjustable eyelet provides up to 0.4 inches of height adjustment for fine-tuning clearance or stance.

What makes the 990 different from other adjustable shocks?

The 990 features independent high and low-speed compression control, meaning you can tune comfort (low speed) and cornering support (high speed) separately.

Will these improve my handling?

Yes — the high-pressure monotube and deflective disc damping deliver consistent performance through the stroke, improving stability and reducing harshness.

Stiff

The shocks seem super nice, but they are incredibly stiff. Turns out they’re 130/200 top to bottom. Would be nice to have an option to choose your spring rate. Couldn’t find it in the description either. Have them installed on a 1998 sportster 1200 by the way. I’m about 180lbs and they don’t move at all, my friend who weighs about 260 also said they were way to firm. Hope this helps.
