Frequently Asked Questions

Can I adjust the ride height with these shocks?

Yes — the eyelet is adjustable over a 0.4 inch range, letting you dial in ride height to your preference.

How do I adjust compression damping?

High and Low Speed compression knobs are easily accessible on the shock body for on-the-bike tuning without tools.

Is preload adjustment difficult?

No — preload is adjusted by hand using the threaded collar on the eyelet, with no special tools required.

Will these improve handling compared to stock Dyna shocks?

The monotube design and deflective disc damping deliver more consistent damping through the stroke for better stability and performance.

Do I need new springs or can I reuse OEM springs?

These shocks come with a linear rate coil spring included — no need to purchase springs separately.

Stiff

The shocks seem super nice, but they are incredibly stiff. Turns out they’re 130/200 top to bottom. Would be nice to have an option to choose your spring rate. Couldn’t find it in the description either. Have them installed on a 1998 sportster 1200 by the way. I’m about 180lbs and they don’t move at all, my friend who weighs about 260 also said they were way to firm. Hope this helps.
