I recently installed a set of monotubes on my 2013 FLTRX. The suspension installs easily but I strongly recommend using your manufacturer's service manual in order to avoid any issues with the disassembly or reassembly.<br /><br />I bought the 2inch lowering kit but chose to only lower it a little over an inch. This is accomplished by fine tuning the setup with the supplied preload clips. I ride 2-up often so I chose not to "slam" the front end but still closed the gap between the fairing and front fender a noticeable amount.<br /><br />Satisfied with my purchase and quick delivery.
Performance Bagger
Dont bother pumping up your motor if youre not going to build a suspension that can keep up with the added power. I did motor work first just to find out that my stock suspension was not meant for the added power. A little shaky at high speeds and wandering through sweepers not to mention nose diving when braking for tight corners. <br /><br />I added a rear stabilizer, 944s, and Heavier fork oil and things got a lot better but not where I wanted it. Still had too much brake dive and liked to wander around in high speed sweepers. <br /><br />I added a front stabilizer and found it tightened things up a bit but that outdated hydro front end was still the weak link. <br /><br />Installed the Monotubes which was not very difficult at all on a Road King (No Fairing to deal with). Im happy to say that my motor is finally not out running my suspension. No Brake Dive, No wandering through sweepers, and straight as an arrow at higher speeds. In 09 they made good improvements to the frame but they should have contracted the suspension out to progressive. <br /><br />Thanks PS and RZ for getting these Monotubes out to me so I could finally get my bike dialed in!
solid and firm
installed on 2013 FLHR.. 200lb solo rider.. debated and read alot of reviews before this purchase.. installed new 21 front and 17 rear.. (front end rise was 1") -kit dropped front end 1" and used 1 spacer for weight. front end now feels very heavy. ride is firm but not harsh.(did not like this ride) -lowered back air to 10lb and now front feels better balanced..bars now feel to far forward as well as windscreen is lowered.. bike feels planted, wheel does not wander and tracks well.. no issues with speed wobble, slow speed turn is slower, but still ok.. if i was to do over i would order standard monotube..

Im really happy. My 2006 roadking rides sooo much better. Wish I wouldve done this upgrade sooner. Easy to follow install instructions. I did have to call support for a question. Good customer service with progressive. ??

the progressive monotube cartridge kit for harley is well worth the cost it has really made a difference in the ride and handling of the bike 2004 ultra 112,000 also i replaced the rear shocks with progressive 412 better than new. also revilla great service and friendly

After years and years of sore back from riding Harleys finally a ride that I can say is second to none!!! I installed these with Progressive 430's on the rear and its like a whole other ride that's 100% enjoyable. Bike rides so much nicer corners better and just feels more in contact with the pavement !!! I'll never own another HD without Progressive in the front and rear.
Progressive 2”drop monotubes
I have purchased 3sets of these & instilled them on 2 2012 Ultra Classics & a 2001 Ultra Classic , lowered all of them 2” , rode 1 of the 2012s 80,000+ mi , & the 2001 50,000+ mi , building another 2012 now , the 2” drop tubes have worked great for me
No more bottoming out.
They improved the ride, and match the 944s in the back. I like doing a lot of bike runs. My wife rides with me, we use to bottom out. Combine weight of 340 to 360. They work nice. When I am alone,I ride hard in the back roads.

Box was ripped open as if it was delivered to someone else and then returned. Does not exactly inspire confidence! Then after spending 460 plus dollars you offer to send me a coupon or gift if I spend another 250.00? Where was that offer before I spent all that money???

The monotubes seem like they are a nice quality product. They look super nice. Ride is pretty ok too. They seem a little stiff and bouncy but I dont have many miles on them and I dont weigh the typical Harley weight (only 145lbs). Install was easy as long as you are comfortable with tearing about your front end and can read the instructions. I did have to buy long Allen sockets for the install. Overall I am happy for what these cost compared to other monotubes.

I'll admit I was on the fence about if these monotubes would really make much of a difference. I am BLOWN AWAY at how much of a difference they made. It's hard to explain, but it really is like if you have ever driven a high end sports car, everything just feels tight and responsive, firm, but not hard. These were worth every penny, hell... i'd of paid twice as much knowing what I'm getting now. It's unbelievable how sloppy the stock HD suspension is.. and you probably won't even know it until you put this upgrade in.<br /><br />I have my rear end lowered 2", so I lowered the front 1" and my bike feels great. 2013 Street Glide.
Perfect resolution for a common nose dive problem.
Found the progressive front shocks to be a great improvement over the stock Harley-Davidson front springs. Easy to install.
I’m happy with the product not happy with the delivery method had I have known it was going through Las Vegas Nevada through California all the way through God’s country taking a little over two weeks to get I never would’ve ordered them

It’s an 02 Ultra Classic with 25k on it. Never had any idea that it was supposed to ride this good. Would highly recommend. Old stocks were sagging and one side was barely working. The bike had been vibrating and did not like rough road. Feels like a new bike after changing and getting rid of the old spoke rims.
Just completed my first ride after install. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!<br />The bike is much more enjoyable on these horrible upstate new you state roads.
I put these on my bike about 2 weeks ago and what an amazing difference. The ride is smoother, tighter and I appreciate the front end being an inch lower... I know have Progressive Suspension all around on my bike and couldn't be happier
Lowered the front one inch on my 2008 Street Glide. Wish I had done it sooner.
Great upgrade from OEM
Made a huge difference from the oem front suspension on my 2003 Road King Classic.<br />Front suspense inspires confidence now and does feel like a sponge. <br />Significantly reduces the front end dive that I had.

Easy to install and made the ride of my 2013 Street Glide so much better. Bike feels more planted, brake dive is greatly reduced and ride comfort is greatly increased. Great product and I highly recommend it.

Improved ride, easier to install than I expected
Relatively easy install. Tremendous improvement over stock.
I should have made this improvement years ago. Install was easy. I had to use an impact wrench to tighten the screw in the bottom of the fork leg because the cartridge would spin. Needed a long 6mm allen bit also.

Takes bumps a little better, but very "bouncy". The ride is not what I was expecting. I have 440's in the rear and they work great.
The ride from these shocks are sooo much better though the instructions were a bit confusing.
I wanted to remove the factory air shocks. Thes installed simply. Oh have not been able to test ride yet. Very satisfied so far.

These shocks work great. Completely changed the front end on my ultra. No more nose dives when braking and gave the front end a much firmer, sportier feel. Fantastic for the money.

Much better handling now. The front end feels like it has less flex and the tire stays in contact with the road better so there was a dramatic improvement in handling.The directions regarding the number of preload spacers to use in very poor in my opinion but watching the Youtube video helps a little. Pretty easy install otherwise.
The best way to lower a bike after installing a 21" front wheel. It actually rides better than stock.

Put them in my '03 Deuce, major difference in handling and they sure stopped the nose dive.
the only way to go for the front end
I just added the PS Cartridge System and with even a short ride, I can feel the difference. Bike feels more planted. Can't wait for spring when I take a long ride to the coast. I have PS f/r on the Sportster, now I'm f/r on the Ultra. Really makes a long ride easier.
A good fix for the front end dive problem associated with braking on the 2009 FLHTCU. You would think this problem would not have gotten past the Quality Assurance folks at the plant.
Installed tubes on a 2002 Harley Road King. Awesome set-up. Gonna spread the word on this product.
