Progressive Fork Lowering Kits — Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, Electra Glide Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Classic (1955-2026)

The lower the better.

I was dreading lowering my front end. Since I have heard nightmares about working on shocks. With the detailed instructions they made it a breeze. I went with the 2" lowering option now my bike doesn't fill near as stiff in the front end and they complement the slammer shocks I have on the rear. I can actually stand flat footed on my bike and not touch the seat. Just what I was looking for.

Fitment is good the ride is awesome with them installed. The only issue at all is the instructions say use Type E fork oil and use 10 weight oil. Type E is 20 weight Type B is 10 weight.

I installed this kit recently. I chose to lower front forks 1" which turned out to be perfect. I suspect lowering 2" may give bottoming out issues. But overall, Great ride and perfect ride height (with rear shocks lowered 1"). Installation was straight forward and easy except for getting the cap screwed on while compressing the springs. I would recommend the compression tool that clamps on he shock strut.

Worked great

Easy to install. Did not come with instructions, but it was easy enough to google and find them. I was able to install them in about 2 hours. Hardest part was getting the fork caps back on. The bike rides great after install. Rides like stock.

Horrible ride quality

I love the look of the lower front end, I put a 21 inch front wheel on and put the 1 inch lower kit on and it looks level to keep my geometry correct. but it rides extremely stiff. It rides worse than a stock suspension.

Got the result of a lowered front fork

Ordering the traditional kit, I was expecting a progressively wound spring as pictured, meaning that the coils get tighter as you get to one end. What I got was a two straight weight springs as would come in the drop in kit, plus the smaller coil springs that go in the bottom of the forks. It was a traditional kit with the appropriate instructions, but I think they packed it with the wrong springs. <br /><br />Installation was not bad, and it did lower the forks about 1 inch as desired. So I got the result I wanted, even if using what I believe are the wrong springs.<br /><br />I couldn't tell much difference in the ride. You're basically just swapping the stock spring for an aftermarket spring.<br /><br />I would recommend if you want to lower your front forks. But you shouldnt expect too much difference in the ride..

Great ride and look with these Progressive Springs

Lowered for the slammed look and to firmly plant my feet after raising due to the larger front rim. Wanted the 2"s but was advised to go 1" since I raised the fender up for the rim. A little bit firmer than stock but was expected. Still a nice ride with enough travel. Definitely would recommend.

Did exactly what I wanted them to do to my bike! No issues! Rides great! Quality is awesome! Met my expectations!

Wasn't right for 2021 sreet glide. Returned.

Not sure yet , (waiting on a part from Harley Davidson) to change out my front end , should be in by the end of the week (fingers crossed) most place's are not as professional as you guys !

Lowered 2 inches as advertised, great kit for the price, put 20 weight in to stiffen it up, rides nice no complaints.

Worked well on my 2018 road glide special after installing 21” front wheel. Lowered 1” and works great. Go to 20wt fork oil on harley touring bike when installing.
