The understated good looks of this air cleaner kit packs a powerful punch in added performance for your bike and is what makes the S&S Super a classic. An air cleaner kit gets you only half the way to added performance, clearly you need to accompany it with a fuel management system or tuner so your engine can optimally process the increased airflow. When I installed the S&S Super, which was easy and straightforward (also see the Reveille video on this), I noticed a meaningful pick up in torque and horsepower. S&S is a classic air cleaner and there's a reason for that. It looks great on my Deuce and adds to the overall look of the bike, IMHO. Very well made with all the parts necessary to install and very easy to do. Very happy with the purchase and the look of the product.
Quality fitment.
Everything I had expected. Easy to install. Extremely well made and definitely lives up to the tear drop air cleaner reputation.
Product looks good and works well. Giving 3 stars because the banjo bolts that go into the head are weak, broke one during installation. Air cleaner didn't quite line up with the back plate. Had to carefully manipulate to get it mounted.
Wise choice if I do say so myself… Easy to put on. Make sure the carb stays attached to the manifold though. (My only error.) I can feel a big improvement on the on-ramp. Watching the mileage now. Will let ya know.

Fits like a glove on my Cv carb. Already had an andrews ev27 cam in the bike (93flhs). The S and S air cleaner looks great and really woke the bike up.

They bolted right on and sound great. I like that they’re not too loud and not too quiet. I am doing a Sidecar project and my dog will be riding in the side car and I didn’t want pipes that would make him deaf.

Looks great, loses a star for the install directions. No torque listed for the screws connecting the back plate to the adapter plate. Had to read it twice, almost over torqued the screws and damaged the adapter plate....
It was by far the best price and let me tell you it looks really nice on my old fatboy.

Very easy to install
very nice air cleaner that looks excellent on my wife's softail. Suggest you lay out all parts, fiqure out which parts you need for your particular bike and discard the rest.. Hardest part of install is removing old air cleaner. Perfect time to clean engine and intake area before installing. very easy to install, won't take more than an hour. Suggest borrowing a torque wrench from someone if you don't have.

It's S&S, it's timeless. <br /><br />But they did short me three of the mounting bolts. To be fair, this is the first time S&S has ever missed a component in packaging, and luckily the shop around the corner had the right size and pitch kicking around.<br /><br />But check that you have everything before proceeding!

Excellent kit. Very easy to install and has excellent instructions. Put it on in 1 hour. First tried kit 4000002, plus breather kit, plus bracket. This is a much better way to go!!!
I purchased the S&S Air Cleaner for my 2001 Harley Davidson XL1200 for both improved performance and for the look of the air cleaner. I am pleased to say it has worked exactly as predicted and adds to the appearance of my bike. Performance has improved slightly as has fuel economy. The air cleaner was easy to install on the stock CV carb and the workmanship of the installation materials was excellent. The instructions could have been clearer in indicating which version I was working on but once I was able to determine the correct installation instructions, the installation went smoothly and quickly. I would recommend this for anyone looking for improved performance, looks or both when intending to retain the stock CV carb.
