excellent tire!
Despite the negative word of mouth you hear from people about shinko, I took this to a track day and it performed very well. This tire dives into turns with ease and I had no problem with traction loss. I would buy it again definitely! A track junkie would disagree but you have to understand that a casual track rider like myself is out performed by the tires capabilities.
Just installed and very impressed.
I put a set of these on my 1989 FJ1200 and I have to say that they are transformative. I am so happy Shinko makes radials for my bike!!! Steering is light and responsive. The bike feels like it weighs nothing... (it IS heavy!) Just rode in the rain and even with only a few hundred miles on them they stuck like glue. I hope the treadlife is good.

P.S. Even though the fitment guide says the rear won't fit, it absolutely does!
Confidence building grip while on a budget
Put these on my 2009 Vmax to replace a worn set of Metzlers. The tires are super grippy. I can actually put the front wheel up with these vs just spinning on the metzlers. They have a more aggressive curvature which really helps the bike in the twisties. They have done well in the rain and dry. All this at a cost almost half the comparable tires in the size. I will definitely be purchasing again in the future.
Had matching front and rear tire mounted on my 2001 Concours. Very pleased so far.
Verge performing nicely
I'm really surprised how much I like these tires. Of course like anything, there's good and bad reports out there. But this tire is not only good for the price, it's a good tire period.
I'm running this on two different motorcycles. A 2001 Yamaha Vmax, and a 2004 ST1300. It performs fantastic on both.
The Vmax is running the Stealth on the back, and the ST1300 is running the Raven on the back.
I would get the Verge for each of those bikes for the rear tires if it came in the sizes I need. But the Verge does play nicely with both of those other rear tires.
Makes both bikes feel very neutral handling and yet very light. But it still has a planted feel at speed.
I can't review the tire life because I've only had them on both bikes for less than 500 miles. But so far so good.
Time will tell.
I've used Shinko in the past and really liked them. I tried this 011 to see in tread life might be better. Traction and feel are great
Tires handle well, smooth
The tires are great, I have a 175 MPH bike and wanted good traction, they perform very well even on wet roads
Pleasantly Surprised with these Tires
You can't beat the price on these tires anywhere! Which was why i decided to give them a shot. & i'm glad i did. I don't have anything bad to say about them at all, the tread life has been a bit better than expected(so far) but i only have about +3k on this set & they still look great. But eye-balling tread isn't very accurate.
As far as traction goes, I ride in Ideal weather along with heavy Rain & have not been in a situation where i have felt that i had to ease up on my riding due to the traction or lack of with these tires. Felt very comfortable in all riding conditions!. If the tread life continues as I hope, this will be my tire from here on out.

D.Burgess
Honda ST1300
Very good tire affordable price.
I put this tire on my ZG1000 Concours a little less than a year ago. I was truly impressed by how much quieter the Shinko Verge is compared to the Metzler I replaced. The steering instantly seemed more responsive. Most of my riding is commuting but I do get out on the mountain roads on a pretty regular basis. The Shinko tires have given me excellent service. They grip well at speed and I'm very satisfied with their performance in a variety of riding conditions including heavy rain.I have about 8000 miles on these ties and the tread is wearing down but still have a little life left.
For the money I don't believe you can get a better tire.
Best budget Sport Touring out there
I use these tires to commute to school daily. They work great. Ride smoothly, have great grip and the price point is something you can't beat. I'd definitely recommend. Got stuck in heavy downpour and was skeptical but they were great. The deep channels in the tire did their job extracting water and it was great.
No issues
Just finished up my first season with these on my SV650, no issues to report. I can only speak to their fair weather performance on the street, which was excellent.
great tire for the money
I put these tires on mt 04 concourse to which I ride rather aggressively . The tire have preformed perfectly and i highly recommend them.
Love them
Great sportbike feel for cruisers. I can do so much more on my Road Glide now that I'm not on rock hard, stock tires.
2006 Suzuki GSXR 1000
I Put this tire on March 2017 and the tread still looks good. I put 11,000 miles on this tire. Literally it is just starting to show wear on the tire. A good amount of life left. I mostly ride to bike shows and around town a few twisties on the country back roads here and there. I love the verge 011 tire. Getting a new set for next season!!
Just purchased these for my Yamaha Warrior 1700 and after 100+ miles on them, they are great handling tires for my cruiser.
The 011's are a very good compromise of mileage, performance, and price, compared to premium supersport tires.
These tires perform well for the price and intended purpose. I was looking for a set of tires that last longer than 3K miles on my 98 ZX9R, and still stick fairly well on the twisty mountain roads I ride. The 011's are the first sport touring tires I've tried, and after 500 miles they have met or exceeded my expectations. It is summer, but they seem to heat up quickly and feel surprisingly compliant on bumps and irrregular surfaces. Turn in is light and easy with the tall rounded profile, but they don't seem to settle in and hold lean angles as well as a more triangular shaped supersport tire. I don't plan on using them for track days, but I am curious. The casting nibs are not completely worn off yet, so I'm guessing they will be around for a while.
I have used many other brands on my 2006 ST1300 and by far this is my favorite tire for the bike. I have gotten up to 10k miles out of a set and as little at 4K miles depending on my riding. I have purchased 8 sets of these tires since the first time I have tried them and will continue to purchase them.
i run these tires every season and havent had any issues with these. good cheap tires that last
Great tire for the price.
I purchased this tire to have the same style/brand as my rear. Unfortunately that put me with a slightly smaller tire than what I already had but overall great purchase and was cost friendly.
Ruined my bike dont buy
Made my bike uncontrollable over 50 mph, bike wanted to go into a wobble. Not sure if there just not made for sport touring or i just got a bad batch but i will never buy shinkos again.
Immediate improvement in handleing.
I gave it 5* for tread life and wet traction, but I cannot really say anything about these 2 areas as I have not had them on long enough.

Shipping was a little longer than I expected.

I have a 97 Kawasaki Concours and itMy does respond more quickly with this tire on the front. (replaced Avon)
Great bang for you buck
I'm at 9000+ miles on the front of the set of Shinko Verge tires on my XR1200, which is a beast of a bike that eats through tires. I definitely expect to get at least another 6k miles out of the tires. It's hard to beat Shinko tires for value.
Great tire for the cost.
Put Shinko 011 Verge Tires on front and back. First time using Shinko and no regrets. Front tire is shaped a little differently so took a few corners to adjust to but found that they stick like glue. Found these tires to be really smooth and well handling. If all continues to go well I will definitely replace them with same tires. Really happy with the Shinko 011 Verge Tires.
Good tire for the money
I heard that these tires had knife like handling and compared to my old set I have to agree. The bikes is defiantly eager to turn, but it feels a little to willing at times. I haven't had any traction issues so far and I don't expect to, that being said I haven't really ridden in a good downpour yet. I have to imagine the tread life will be good, but I haven't had them long enough to say. This is a good tire, if you compare it to a high end sport touring tire it will probably fall short, but for the money it's hard to beat.
Great tires
On my second set on the ST1100 now, using the raven 009 rear and verge 011 front. They stick great, no wet weather issues, last a long time even on my heavy ST. 8-9K miles on both front and rear. Also used a radial rear on my BMW R1200R with great success. I've run 750K + miles on street bikes in my time and think these tires are just a great value with a lot of technology packed in.
Just fund
Only put 50 miles on it but great so far.
Good tire. Great price
Glad I tried Shinko
So far okay haven’t ridden far yet but handles well for the riding I’ve done
Surprisingly good
Great for the price!
Bought it for Kawasaki Vulcan 650, and it’s much better than OG dunlops
New level of handling the bike
Good tire for the money. The front tire is a little out of round & I can feel it a lower speeds, especially prior to it warming up. No such issue with the rear tire.
Good bang for the buck.
Good tire fore the money. I have an odd 18" back wheel on my Honda & don't have many tires options. I was reluctant to try this inexpensive tire at first. I'm on my third one & they work good. Wear is average to above average & grip is about the same.
Canyon Dyna??..
Sticky ?.. !!!!! They work as intended , what more could I want ?
1500 mile lifespan
It lasted 1500 miles and left me stranded 500 miles from home...I think I'll take a car the next time I go on vacation.
Great service and great tire
A tire that works
A well made tire for a great price, the best straight line traction tire I have used short of a drag specific tire. Fast shipping.
Shinko tire 200/50/R18
Muy buen llanta no sabia que Shinko fabricaba de este tipo, otra cosa el costo es muy bueno, no se cuanto tiempo durara pero por ese precio vale la pena probarlas.
Tire
Good tire. Good tire. Good tire.
I ORDER ALL MY STUFF FROM THEM
My new tire
Nice ride haven't got too many miles on it yet
Price was good
Great Tire
Great tire! I don't have to many options for my rear 18" wheel and this price is the lowest price that I have found for my tire size. Has good grip and very durable. Will continue to use this tire in the future.
Not bad for the price
Tires can handle well surprisingly under extreme heat in corners get sticky. but they need hot road to be sticky like the other brands, once they get older more than a year and half they start to dry out and become less sticky. Just fyi be sure to change them out when it's time
Great For My Old Concours
Replaced a Battlax on the front of my '03 Kawi Concours. It works very well with the Battlax on the rear. Yes, I know it is 'better' to replace tires as a set but got tired of disposing a rear tire with half the tread life left. Anyway, I wanted to see how this would work and happy to say they play together very well! Hoping to get more mileage out of this Shinko than I have with the Battlaxs.
Much better then the OE Tires
This is my first set of replacement tires on my Honda NC750X. Road feel is great and they hold well in the twisty mountain roads. I am hoping that they hold up longer then the original tires that were gone in 5,300 miles.
Great looks great feel on the bike
Great looking tire also feels great on the bike and handles great !!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't had it long enough to tell how it's going to ware or how it is in the rain
Pretty Good
This is my second Verge 011 rear on my ST1300. These are hard to beat for the money. Great grip, quiet, smooth, and they last a reasonable number of miles for me, about 6,000.
Shinko Verge front tire
good tire. rapid service. well satisfied
Tire lasts the season grips the roads great never had a problem with tire washing out would recommend to other riders
Love the tire. Great traction.
FRONT TIRE FOR 650 VULCAN S
I've used these front tires before-*VERY GOOD TIRE:)*
Great
So far they are fantastic. Much much better then I was expecting. Can not speak to the longevity but for now the are great.
Terrible Tires
I have hired two companies to balance the front tire but it will not stop shaking. Both say the issue is the tire. There was not shaking before putting on the new tires.
FL. Roads are rough on tires so I get this brand because it's a lot cheaper and I get the same on life on tread as I do on the expensive one's
Positive Exsprerience
Great experience with your company. My order did take a little longer than originally quoted but
i think that was due to it being a holiday. Your pricing is more than fair. I would like to see you improve your communication process with Customer Service. I believe that customer engagement is essential to company growth.
Shinko Verge: best tire in the game for the money. I was running the Meztler 888 :(. I paid over $300.00 and that tire had NO traction what so ever. if you want to HOOK out the HOLE i suggest you jump on the VERGE.....
Decent tires
I used this on the front of my 2004 and 2005 Kawasaki Concours's. They worked well.
Nail in old tire
looks and feels great at a fair price.
Great to buy from fast shipping
Good tire for the price!
Second shinko for the rear of my Honda fury. Got about 5k miles outta the last one and hope to get more out of this one. (I’m fairly aggressive with the throttle and curves)
Great price, handles well in the curves. Better grip for this 600+ lbs Kawasaki Concours. I haven't rode in the rain yet.
Good tire 5,000 + miles but don't like the wear of the tire toward the end.
Great price , great tire !
Just took out my chopper for the first ride with this new tire , so far it rides great and has great grip !
Great buy
Great tires! I run them on my VTR1000F Superhawk and ST1300. Good grip, great feel and turn in.
I Hadn't heard of this brand, did a little research, Glad I did. I've never had a tire that performs this good. I feel like I'm glued to the road.
Shinko verge 011 tires
Once I had them scuffed in they have good grip and handle better the expected, now lets see how the mileage is.
Great tires
These tires really improved ride and handling on my 2020 Zero SR/F. I will continue using them.
First time using on my old FJ1200
I haven't ridden too many miles yet but so far I'm really happy. Installed on 1986 FJ1200. Its hard to find tires for the 16 in rear (150/80-16). We'll see how long they last compared to the Metzler Lasertec I've been using. First time using radial tire on this old bike and no problems.Just wish they made a 16 inch front tire!
bike rides great and has a smooth ride
bike rides great and has a smooth ride
Definitely the best “bang for the buck”, good grip wet or dry and very long wearing tire. No hopes of grandeur or racing heritage;
Just a great product at the right price
tire rides great. a lot stickier than the Michelins I normally run. only had it on for a week but enjoying it. makes my harley ride like a sport bike.
Easy mount needed no balance aids grips very good dont know about mileage yet.
First and last Shinko
The good: Sticky on dry pavement.
The bad: Slippery on wet pavement, especially on traffic paint. Didn't even last 3000 miles. Slight wobble at 90mph, which went away immediately when I changed the rear to a different tire. No tread wear indicators in the center. This almost got me killed. It was a long trip. The tread looked OK before leaving. Cords came through on the way home.
Tire sucked.caused bike to fishtail.
Excelente
I haven’t installed yet. But, I’ve ran these exact tires before and I’ve always had excellent service from Amy Shinko.
Ditto
excellent tire
Excellent
If you need a cheap rear these work they don?t last that long because you slide all over the place if you?ve got any power I have a 2001 Kawasaki concourse and it cuts these tires loose every time in the tire kind of fun to slide a little predictable grip once you get to know the tire they do not last long if you?re heavy on the The throttle not bad in the rain good on the dry just don?t apply heavy power in the corners
Always have no problem with JP Cycle on shipping Tire is very good price most excellent service
Excellent tire, punches above price point
Shinko has a bad rap for what I can tell no reason. I've had three sets of these tire. I get great mileage out of them, as well as grip and road feel. I've never had a no grip fear. Have done three trackdays with these tires and I run a good pace. Not as good as the Michelin Power 5 I am running currently. But for the price it's hard to beat. Don't ask for wet weather performance. It's a very affordable tire with great performance.
Not bad!
I replaced a rear metzeler m7rr with this. For my usage (fairly aggressive street riding) it seems as good as comparable high dollar michelins, dunlops, etc. Time will tell on mileage. The metzeler that I replaced was gone in 1800 miles )-: . One word of caution, if you change your own tires prepare for an epic struggle. This thing has incredibly stiff sidewalls.
Only have one ride on my Honda st1300 butit was a great ride in the curves
Only have one ride on my Honda st1300 but was a great ride in the curves
I have put a few miles on this tire which was referred to me by a friend and so far this tire is great for the price
Great price holds the road
Great Tire
Your service was outstanding 👍 , I had this monster tire UPS ship to me in 3 days To Hawaii , awesome service 👍🤙😎
It’s a good tire I got 7000 miles out of my last one I run the same tire out front which I at 12,000 miles on very neutral field goes into the turns it doesn’t inspire trust but it doesn’t have any feel at all but I get a full grip out of it I drive a sport touring bike a Kawasaki concourse and it’s never failed all the way over don’t ride much in the rain Good longevity good grip great price can’t beat it
5 Stars
5 Stars
Great produt and kp cycle quick to it to get your order shipped out to not gonna deal with amy body else at this point unless its a must right then and there great job guys keep it up right and the throttle pinned
Great. Got one before this one and definitely staying with Shinko
This front tire outlasted any other brand I have used
Good tire for a good price haven't had any problems with this brand of tire
Great price fast shipping
Just put it on. Seems to work great!
Excellent tire, fits like a glove, excellent price...
tires are better then I thought
feel great and warm up fast. nice feel and good grip. price was right for my needs.
outstanding features
i feel the is an outstanding tire....has great grip in curves..on wet roads....heavy rain...and a great speed tire.....can't speak on tire life just purchased less than a month.
Not Bad at All!
Using this on a 2012 Concours and it has better turn in then the stock oem tire. Great bargain tire. I'm a daily commuter so the tire sees mostly highway or city traffic. It handles both without a problem and after 4,000 miles it still looks good.
Excellent tire with great grip, wet and dry.
OK, I am very happy with this tire, and just received my rear tire to match. Love everything about it so far. I don't know about the tread life, but if it is satisfactory, I will use these tires in the future. I don't think there is a better tire for the money.
A+++ My bike? A 2002 Buell Lightening.
Best handling tire I ever had!!
