Fantastic Mufflers!
These sound great! Not overly loud, but definitely loud enough. <br /><br />The installation was very simple. I'd recommend using some WD-40 to get the old mufflers off the head pipes. Also, be sure to follow the torque specs for the clamp rings (40-45 Ft Lbs, if I remember correctly). They need to be a little more tight than you'd expect.<br /><br />Overall, Vance & Hines parts always look great and fit perfectly. Highly recommended.
Excellent Pipes
I ordered the V&H 4" Eliminators for my 2020 Harley Road King and couldn't be happier. The pipes were easy to install in my garage (took about an hour) with simple tools most people have handy. The quality of the pipes is evident in the fit and finish. The sound is just perfect for my purposes. It's deep and throaty and just enough bark to make the Harley come alive without getting me on my neighborhood hit list. I would highly recommend these pipes to anyone looking make their Harley sound like a Harley. I can't say anything good or bad about the durability as I've only had them on the bike for a month now.
Smiles for miles
To start the install was easy as pie. I probably spent more time trying to get my bags back on without cross threading the screws than swapping the pipes. They do need to break in. When I first rode with them I thought I was out $500 because they didnt have that good of a sound. After 100 miles or so they started to sound pretty good. After 300 miles I find myself just getting on the throttle because they sound amazing. Ive only ever had V&H slip ons and theyre always above expectations. They look great, sound great, no need to fabricate for install. There isnt really any decel pop either. Little crackles but they sound pretty cool to be honest. No actual bangs that would cause concern. If you dont want to break the bank but want some pipes that sound good, look good, dont make your ears bleed from being so loud, and basically no drone at 80+ then these are worth a shot.
V & H slip-ons
I bought these after reading reviews and for the look. All expectations met. They sound good, look good and price was right. Installed on 2018 Ultra Limited.

Vance & Hines is known for great sounding exhaust with a mid level rumble, not to loud buy not to soft. Just right for those longer rides.

Nice added rumble from stock harley muffler. Not loud obnoxious sound. Keeps the neighbors happy and not waking them up on the way to work.

I had the twin slash rounds on a previous Harley (103) and I really loved them. Decided to go with the eliminator based off of looks and other people said they sounded very similar to my previous exhaust. <br /><br />Install was straight forward. Overall finish looks great. I did go with the black as I have a Street Glide Special thats is already blacked out. <br /><br />Sound is great for a slip on, nice rumble at idle, not too loud while riding around but have a good bark when under good acceleration. <br /><br />Overall I recommend this setup to others looking at this model! Clean aesthetics, good sound, easy install!
Previous bike had V&H High Output
I had a fuel pak and dress duals with my my 2010 Road Glide. Loud and bad (but I'm getting old). For my 2019 RG I decided to save a few bucks and install the Eliminator 400s. Read a review where someone said they sound similar to rinehart 4 inchers. I've ridden a 2012 Road King on a long trip with rineharts and I liked the sound. My assessment is they are similar to the rineharts but still have a vance and hines rumble. So I am very pleased. Guys at work do not notice a difference from my previous bike when I buzz the office.<br /><br />My 2019 only has the 400s - no fuel pak, air cleaner, or duals as I'm waiting 2 years until my warranty is up.<br /><br />God Bless.
2018 SG CVO OEM pipes to V&H Eliminators
Was looking for some rumble but still able to crank up the tunes if need be. While the stock pipes were great if you wanted to crank the tunes they suck and were really quiet. These pipes are a massive improvement. They gave the bike a better look from the back and the rumble was just what I was looking for, not too loud but enough to piss off my neighbors. <br /><br />Would recommend to anyone looking for an upgrade from stock pipes. Easy to install took maybe 20min a pipe R&R.
Easy to "slip on" and sound great!
These bad boys sound great for the money you spend on them. <br />Easy installation for anyone who has little to zero experience mechanically, even easier if you do. Will definitely recommend to anyone.
Awesome Exhaust Awesome Price
I spent a month trying to decide what slip-ons to buy and finally pulled the trigger on these. They add a nice deep sound to my ?22 Road Glide Limited without making it too loud for my wife. At highway speeds you can still hear music fine. You?ll definitely be heard if you get on the throttle. Night and day difference compared to the garbage stock exhaust. My wife can hear hers in her helmet though her Cardo w/JBLs fine as well. They do get a little more sound after they are broken in. I left the baffles in since we?re using it for touring, but it?s nice to know I can simply pull the fiberglass packing out if I ever want to make them louder. They look awesome on the bike. Installation was easy. Took maybe 30 minute. The left side pipe does not seat as deep as the right, so install the left, measure how far back it comes (I measured from the mounting bracket under the saddle bag, then install the right in order for them to be even. That would have saved me 10 minutes.
2019 Ultra Vance & Hines Eliminator Mufflers
I love the deep sound these pipes have and they really make the scream Harley Davidson!!! Good rumble at idle but not too loud and when I throttle the bike the pipes have a good deep sounds that backs off at cruising speed. I kept the caps on the pipes since this is a touring bike. Love the mufflers and as always, Vance & Hines has stuck to their reputation.
2020 Road Glide
The sound is a little bit louder than stock pipes, but not nearly the sound i was expecting after my first pair of short shots on a 2016 Fatbob. Id imagine the Powerdual headers I just purchased will help with that. I dont want to to be obnoxiously loud, but I want people to know Im coming. Also, tunnels. Install was super easy and took about 20 minutes. Pipes are nice and they look great. If I were to go back, Id go with the high outputs. Shipping was super fast and only took two days from submitting payment which was around 2:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Being as picky as I am, I read every review on every slip on I was interested in. I chose this one because it had the most positive feedback. There is a reason for that. They are great! They went on in about ten minutes and sound really good. They have that loud Harley sound but it isnt overbearing. Mine did get scratches on the left muffler due to the heat shield so I dont know if that will become a problem or not. Other than that these are much better than stock, as we all know but I didnt think it would make that much of a difference having a full flow slip on as opposed for the crimped factory muffler. If you want to save a few bills but get great sound and performance these are the way to go.

Rumble in the jungle
As part of my Stage 1 journey I decided on the Vance & Hines slip-ons. I love the look and sound that they offer. I did wish they were a tad bit louder though. But they will do for now haha
Still the cost-effective standard
2024 road glide. Quiet enough off the throttle to roll out in the mornings and satisfying on the highway. Bark when getting on it. Very high quality as packaged/received, installation was a breeze, and plenty open for engine mods for anything that doesn’t require losing emissions. Very happy.
You'll love the sound
Love the loud sound. I was taken by surprise on my first start after installation. My Harley now sounds like a Harley.

They are not as loud as I wanted. I originally was going to buy the Cobra Neighbor Hater. I called to see if anything comparable to them. I told the salesman I wanted loud.

Great value and they sound excellent
I bought these pipes for my 2017 Street Glide Special. I originally had the big radius 2-2 but they were way too loud especially where they were placed. I put these on a set of dresser duals in the black and they look amazing. The sound at idle is a little quiet I will say but as soon as you get on the throttle they really wake up and sound deep and throaty. For the price you can't go wrong with these mufflers.

Nice sound, not too loud for the neighborhood but growls when you get on it. Haven't done the rest of the Stage 1 because I'm still under warranty. Might run a little better but not very noticeable right now.

I really like these slip-on pipes. My favorite VH pipes and I have had them on all 4 bikes I have owned.

2021 Road Glide
Very easy to install and directions were clear and understandable.
So much better than stock pipes!! Very easy installation. It took less then 45 minutes from start to finish. Sound has a deep grumble. Wish it was a little louder but for the ease of slip ons compared to complete exhaust replacement, I will take it all day long!!

The Vance & Hines Eliminators went on easily, sound great after the break in period, look great, but one slip-on had a protruding weld bead that prevented the connection from sealing after installation.

Beautiful looking chrome; high quality as always from V&H. These new slip-ons have a much improved sound over the stock exhaust; a low deep rumble that isn't too loud for touring but crack open the throttle and they come alive sounding like a Harley should as one rows through the gears. Very good quality as expected. I was surprised that there was no baffle insulation inside because I wanted to remove it to increase the sound quality. Obviously better than the stock slip-ons though. Now I'm just wondering if I replace the rest of the exhaust if it will increase performance and sound

Pipes look great and were easy to install. Sound at idle is not much louder than stock but it is a deeper sound. These pipes come alive when you crack the throttle. Would recommend.

I was looking for a deep rumble that wasn’t offensive while cruising down the road but was very noticeable on throttle. These are the pipes. Great low rumble while idling. The Eliminator 400s look great too. Wife commented on the 400s saying “those look much better than stock” and for once she is correct. I would buy again as they are exactly the sound I was looking for in aftermarket pipes. Lastly they are a really good price.

These made my 2020 SG sound much better. They are louder than stock but not too loud with a nice deep tone. 45 minute install with just a few tools. I definatley recomend these to a yone looking for a nice deep sound.

Leaking at clamp

Perfect for what I was looking for. <br />Clean, simple lines. The black insets really make a noticeable difference. <br />Not obnoxious. Along with the K&N air filter, a noticeable change in tone and now its got some rumble.

Very simple to install. And the pre-programmed map for my setup (Road King Special with Eliminator 400’s and high flow air filter) has the bike running great! Running smooth, with plenty of power for me.
Love these mufflers. Definitely meaner than stock, but not obnoxious. Only downside is if you want to remove or cut the baffles, you will likely need a special hook tool to extract them. Otherwise, great slip-ons!

Sounds nice and deep just not loud enough
Love them. The 107 Milwaukee 8 with stock mufflers did not have the “rumble and roar” I was used to in my over 40 years of riding Harleys. The V&H Eliminator 400 gave me the sound back: Thank you Vance & Hines.

I put this on my 2017 street glide special. Has a very nice rumble compared to stock. Not to loud but noticeable and is a head Turner with the Laguna Orange color.. great brand would highly recommend.

Great buy! Bought these Eliminator400s to add some bark to the exhaust sound of my 2017 Road Glide with the Milwaukee Eight motor and these pipes were exactly what I wanted. Traditional Harley sound with the deep rumble that sets these pipes apart. And the chrome finish is first class. The bike runs easier with more throttle response and less throttle movement. Would buy again in a heartbeat. Nice job V&H.
