These exhaust pipes move the exhaust gases from the cylinder heads to the mufflers.

Love them! Great fit, great sound, chrome heat shields are perfect.

The headers fit perfectly but the chrome on the headers themselves was a b grade at best. The heat shields were grade A all the way. Also if you need new flanges they do not come with the headers have to order separately.

2005 Road King Classic (EFI)

After the installed the Vance and Hines Dresser Exhaust System, I noticed a significant improvement in both the look and sound of my bike. The sleek design and enhanced sound profile give the bike a more aggressive and refined presence on the road. The performance boost has been noticeable, with smoother throttle response and a more powerful ride.<br /><br />The installation process was straightforward. The insulation was easy to manage, and the instructions provided were clear and helpful. For anyone planning to install this exhaust system, keep in mind that you'll need a few additional parts: exhaust gaskets, 18mm O2 plugs (if you don't have O2 sensors), Harley Dealership: new flange nuts (4 each) for the pipe-to-engine connection (5/16" x 24 thread), the rubber mount on the muffler bracket and, if you have the 88 V-Twin engine, a cam plate gasket. You will need a short lenth 1/2" wrench to get the bottom nut on the back cyliner. Overall, the installation took me about 4 hours.<br /><br />After removing the stock exhaust, I checked my cam tensioners. They were in good condition, which was reassuring given the bike’s 26k mileage.<br /><br />I’m thoroughly satisfied with the Vance and Hines Dresser Exhaust System. It delivers on all fronts—looks great, sounds fantastic, and performs even better. After taking a few runs on the bike, I don't think a tune will be needed, maybe later on if I change the air intake. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their bike's exhaust for a noticeable improvement in both aesthetics and performance.

These pipes came very fast, install went pretty smoothly just make sure you read and follow the directions because i need to pull them back off to easily get my heat shields on. I have fishtail slip ons and I noticed right away the idle was deeper with these headers and it sounds great when you get on it! I'm pretty happy with them over all, the only downside it they didn't come with sensor plugs and I had to reuse my hardware to mount to my jugs, and they are turning blue so I might wrap them before I put heat shields back on

These pipes not only look amazing on my 22’ street glide, but the sound paired with cobra 909’s is deep and very throaty. Retuned with the screaming eagle tuner and heavy breather I also gained some power. Highly recommend this product.

These pipes are fairly easy to install and sound AWESOME!! Took me about 4 hours to remove the stock setup and install the new ones.

The Good, Pipes look and sound good once installed. The not so good, some of the worst instruction writing I have seen, with sub standard pictures and part referencing, clamps are sub standard and no where near OEM quality. I would have rated them worse but they do look and sound decent once installed

Looks and sounds great

Overall a good quality product. My 04FLHRI sounds much better now than with factory head pipes and slip on mufflers. Install was pretty straight forward. Only negatives would be not providing O2 plugs and exhaust gaskets with the pipes.

Everything fit perfectly. As long as you read the directions a few times first, you will do well. The only drawback was not being able to get the pipes without ports for oxygen sensors. I recommend getting the Vance and Hines plugs if you don't have sensors on your bike. I had to bend a 1/2" wrench to get to a couple of nuts. Install was smooth, just follow the directions step by step. A nice, clean, smooth look, and they sound great!

Love these pipes, came in three days. But, I ordered the O2 plugs and it says they shipped on 9/22 and it's now 9/28 and i still dont have them

I'm putting them on this weekend. Out of the box, they are beautiful. The usual Vance and Hines high quality. I'm matching them with Vance and Hines fishtails and competition baffles. I will update on the looks and noise!

ordered these pipes for my '02 Electra Glide Standard. have to admit, i was EXTREMELY skeptical at first. pulled the stock "Y" pipe exhaust off and did the "mock up" with the new exhaust. everything looked good. only thing about this exhaust system you have to pay attention to is it does not come with new metal exhaust gaskets. either re-use your old ones or make sure you have a new set. also, if your bike dosent have o2 sensors, a quick trip to the hardware store for a set of brass end caps (roughly 10 dollars) fills in for the o2 sensor holes. took me roughly 6 hours over two days to put them on, but i was taking my good sweet time. love the sound quality. adds a little more pep on take off too. very pleased with these pipes.

While the pipes look good they should have included something to block off the two holes for exhaust sensors as my 05 FLHTCPI DOES NOT HAVE THIS !

Great quality as usual from V&H. Paired these up with a set of V&H fishtail slip ons and wow what a difference. Really woke up my tired old EVO. Not terribly hard to install for experienced wrenches. Took roughly an hour and a half. Definitely recommend.

Love the pipes, but the bracket over the starter had to be ground off to fit over my starter on an 04. No big deal but kinda surprised me that it wouldn't fit.

Very nice pipes. Fit and finish are first rate, and the difference in sound and performance exceptional. If you own a Harley; especially an older model touring bike, you need to do this.

Put these on an 05 Ultra. Like all V&H stuff, they are very nice, and well made. Heat shields cover everything. Be aware that if your bike doesn't have 02 sensors in the exhaust (06 and earlier I think)you will need to purchase a plug kit for the bungs. Why they don't include the plugs is beyond me. Luckily I had some plugs leftover that came with another set of pipes I bought. comes with all other brackets and even new muffler clamps. Made a huge difference in heat on the back of your legs and totally changed the exhaust note to a deeper, louder rumble. Am running the V&H slash slipons with this system. Don't forget your new exhaust gaskets for the head.

READ ALL THE DIRECTIONS TWICE BEFORE YOU START! This is the first time I have ever done exhaust on a bike. It went OK but is not simple to do. If you have any doubts if you can do it on your own you might want to get a friend to help. Overall it is working great. As I have seen others say the directions could have had a full diagram of what you are doing and a couple of more diagrams of how particular areas go together. But I have had harder times doing things.

Pipes and heat shield arrived packaged and protected very well. Went on very easily and the sound is fantastic, deep and throaty growl now!

Really nice pipes. Cost less to use these pipes instead of buying stock pipes on my streetGlide. Put them on myself and couldn't believe what a difference they made. Great sound with more power,,, what more could I have hoped for? Do not hesitate, buy the pipes and you will be amazed. Plus it got rid of that spot on the pipes that the stock chrome covers didn't cover

The stock exhaust broke and the new parts were ridiculously expensive so I went with the V & H true duals. I easily installed them myself and am very impressed with the sound (I also have V &H oval slip ons) and the power I gained. Very good product. Don't hesitate when considering buying this product. I LOVE mine!!!

These pipes went on easy and had lots of extra hardware for various applications. They sound as great as they look.

Quick shipping, easy and straight forward install. But wow, the appearance, while subtle, still gets that head turning response we all want. Added the black widow slips ons to complete the line and color. Sounds and responds great on my ultra.

Looks good, sounds good. Paired up with V&H basic slip-ons i already had for some time. Did have to invest in a EFI tuner though - had a previous HD download back when mufflers were added, but after recent header installation it definitely needed the tune. Runs smooth now.

I've got to say that I am very pleased with the new header pipes. The quality and fit are excellent, and the new sound of a low rumble instead of a cracking popping sound is a pure pleasure to listen to. They are exactly what was needed to complete my custom upgrade. The kit was complete with everything needed, all good quality, and fit perfectly. Only wish that the instructions (pictures) were clearer. I had too read them very carfully several times to identify some of the hardware and their actual locations/orientations, because the kit covered several year models and had extra hardware that I didn't need. Easy enough for even a shade tree mechanic. Oh, and thanks for the phone help when ordering. The girl that took my order had some one check to make sure that they had the O2 sensor ports that Calififornia requires. Thanks again for everything. Ed
