True Harley sound for m8s
At first I just planned on running the mufflers with my stock head pipe. 2019 RKS 114 m8, but after a week I went full bore and ordered the V&H power duals. First off. Mufflers with stock head pipe, damn it sounded amazing. Nice rumble at idle, cruise, and accel. I immediately wish I went this route when I first got the bike instead of waisting money on Street Cannons. Then came the power duals.<br /><br />Fit and finish, top notch as always with V&H. They recommended to out the head shields on first on a table but I would say do it after to line everything up just right. The center x-pipe shield can contact and scratch the other shields if there is some movement and you don't want that on the all black shields. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Luckily I was able to shift it to cover up my little scratch. So I say pipe first shields after all mounted.<br /><br />I used a smart tuner with wideband O2 sensors and tuned my bike to match the new header. I recommend doing this as well do insure you don't lean out your engine. <br /><br />Now let me tell you I wish I had a go pro or something so I could post the sound of this exhaust. It sounds absolutely amazing. Deep rumble at idle, cruising sounds great but I can still hear my music, and on acceleration oh my it's sweet music to my ears. The new m8s needed this exhaust system IMO. It's as close as I can remember sounding like my old Evo. Only difference is when shifting it has a different pitch than I'm used to but I'm not upset by it. And on decel the bike just sounds outright mean. It's perfect<br /><br />Now performance, like I've said I tuned it with a smart tuner with wideband O2 sensors but seat of the pants is insane. It feels like it pulls much much harder. Having no restrictions/cat in the head pipe as well as the xpipes dimensions it just breathes so much better. <br />Also removing the cat there is no insane heat coming up to make my and my wife's leg sweat.<br /><br />I don't usually write reviews on products unless they really impress me. And this combo has done just that.
Amazing Rumble

As soon as I saw these I knew they were what I was going with. Took my about 45minutes to put them on. First of the upgrades to my bike. Change the look and sound amazing.
Great sound, easy to install
Sounds great! Exhausts are a matter of personal taste. This is more likely just a step below the Tab Performance slip ons as far as loudness, but louder than pretty much everything else. I put them on a stock 107 Road Glide with cats still attached.
Gut wanted these, son suggested other
Started off with Vance & Hines power duals, FP3 fuel tuner & Tab Performance Bam Sticks with zombie baffles per Sons suggestion. They were loud and very aggressive , well they lacked what I wanted. They had a High loud snappy sound definitely turned heads. That got old, what I lacked was a deep throaty punch sound. Guess what my original choice was the correct ones after all the torquer 450's delivered exactly what I was looking for as advertised. Loaded in the preloaded tune for my setup! Damn!! Got my torque back and And deep punch. Love them!!!! Install was quick and easy. Chrome is second to none. Great products as always. Next time I will always trust my gut. Videos online do not do them justice. Great Company/Great Products spend the extra money people you get what you pay for. Easier to ask forgiveness then permission fellas. Ride Safe

Excellent fit and finish. Only a couple of short rides so far but performaning and sounding great. Not too loud at low rmp and make the M8 sound like<br />a Harley should when you twist the throttle.
Better than Tab Zombie baffles
So had Tabs with the ole zombie baffels since bring the bike home. Frankly thought they were cool at first but as time has gone along (9 months) they have become very irritating and kind of shrill and not that Harley sound. So got me a set of the F&H torques 450. Clean nice looking set of 4.5 black pipes. Nothing earth shattering but do have a nice company logo near the tips. The sound is really impressive about five times deeper that Tabs and almost as loud with throttle. These sound like a bad a$$ Harley again. They have a 2.75 inch baffel and as far as I know no other manufacturer has anything larger that 2.5 inch and many have only 2 inch baffels. So what a really pleasant surprise when I noticed a nice increase in low end torque. Frankly this is the nicest set of aftermarket pipes I have ever installed and I have installed plenty.

Deep Rumble
These slip-ons definitely made my 2021 Street Glide come to life with the stock headers. Install was easy and the chrome finish looks great.

This exhaust sounds great. I have it installed on my 2020 Harley Road Glide Special and everyone loves the way it sounds. I paired mines with the Vanes and Hines Power Duals Headers and the air flow and sound quality is perfect. I highly recommend this product.

Rusting from the inside out
Well I have had these things for a year. I would strongly recommend not buying the chrome version for a street glide/road glide or any glide for that matter.<br />The left side exhaust of the HD Glide does not get hot enough to burn off the condensation inside the slip on and it is rusting out.<br />The end cap of the left side pipe is covered with rust. I reached out to V&H and they said it's just surface rust, just wipe it of every time you ride your bike. Seems like a design flaw for a slip on that was made with the M8 in mind.
It's not loud but good enough to ride maybe a full exhaust is a better sound but it's decent enough .<br />Has a crackle and pop with a mid rumble .<br />If your looking for loud loud look for other .

Have a 19 road glide ultra Upgraded from stock bike with stage 1 with vance and hines VO2 Blade intake and to be safe using Screaming eagle tuner by HD. Deepper rumble, and louder than stock pipe. I honestly had to get use to it as i did more rides. This is second touring bike and transition from BMW GS. Its not abnoxious. I realized that its just a characterics of a harley its engine. Im running it on stock header and don't have any plan for further upgrades as im looking for comfort aspect on the bike. Waiting to add Legends suspension on rear soon. Overall it sounds good on 114 m8 motor and also designed for M8 as well. If this first time buyer upgrading for stock pipes would recommend check size as torquer are 4.5 inch which can make it louder and deeper tone then 4 inch muffler is what i would recommend. I may change it Rhineharts in near future to try thier brand but for now im happy with it. Did notice increase on Tourque and HP. Better throttle response. i have put 3k miles and mostly on highway. I would recommend it
Have a 2019 road king.with m8 motor these slipons have given better throttle response,and great sound nice growl.

These are great! Just what I was looking for to replace my stock slip ons for my 2019 Ultra Limited. Installation was a breeze, they look good, and sound GREAT! They gave my bike a very deep tone yet aren't so loud that you piss the neighbors off.

Looking for a great sounding slip-on for a M8? Look no further... these slip-ons are great. Super fast shipping makes them even better. Easy installation, and comes with new clamps. Make sure to wipe them down well to remove any fingerprints, or oil. I used a clean towel and rubbing alcohol. <br />They sound deep and slightly louder than rineharts, on a stock engine. I was able to do a side by side comparison. Both bikes were stock m8's.<br />Overall these are a great produce, and fast shipping. I would recommend them to any M8 owner.

They look great and was an easy install. Too soon to know how the finish will hold up. Nice deep rumble at idle and that hot-rod sound when your in it. No regrets. Nice easy upgrade for my 2023 Road King Special.

Love the sound that you get from Vance & Hines. Very throaty, low bass. Looks and sounds much better than the stock mufflers. Took me about 30 mins total to remove the old and put the new on and alignment. Rating a 4 on ease of install, just due to needing a torque wrench; otherwise, it's a simple swap out.
Slip-on pipes
Like the sound, very deep, the only thing that is off is the Black color. It is duller than the original pipies.

Best Slip-ons for M8
10 stars! Takes a couple hundred miles to break in good but boy do they wake up! Great tone and volume on stock head pipes! Better than rinehart on an M8 all day!
Sounds good but quality issues
Pretty disappointed in the quality of the left exhaust. Two issues. The cap didn't look like it was seated completely in the end of the exhaust. There was a slight gap around one side so either it wasn't attached correctly or it was warped or the end of the exhaust was warped. Also the tapered end where it attaches to the header pipe was too wide where the supplied clamp would not fit over it. So I had to take the clamp apart and then slide it over then use pliers to squeeze together while trying to screw the clamp together. Very annoying and lengthy process. Sounds good, but quality issues.

Big Sound!
I recieved my pipes really quickly. I installed them without a problem. I have had several bikes with various styles of Vance & Hines. <br />This is my first Harley and these pipes makes a very good sound. A really big but not over bearing.

they sound ok but sure are heavy ... about 6 lbs moore per muffler ... thats quite a bit of lugage you cant take next time. 12bs

Great sound at start up and at idle
Exactly the sound I was looking for as usual from Vance and Hines nice deep throaty sound as soon as you start it but not overly loud. Fit and finish is excellent as you would expect from V and H.

I really like these; they sound nice. I first installed them with the stock pipes/headers - which was fine, but it doesn't give you that "crackle" under throttle or during idle. Later I upgraded to the Power Duals pipes/headers and that makes all the difference; loud enough, a nice crackle when the engine spins down during shifts, throaty. Plenty of power too; but I tuned it with the Fuelpack.
Great product....Shipping though...I know it's not JP's issue but FedEx kept this order for 5 days in one of their warehouses. I had to call FedEx and complain to get it.

Bad quality control
I bought these in March 2021 had on my bike the finished came off and started looking bad I took them and are having to have the redone in a new powder coating after 6 months I should of got the Reinharts
These are just what I was looking for. Not too loud to upset the neighbors, but enough low rumble to be noticed. Much better sound than stock, Installation a breeze. Chrome finish seems flawless. Ordered on a Monday morning, received on Saturday morning. Given current shipping delays that all companies are seeing, that is acceptable.

The look is awesome, low rumble sound, Not quite as loud as the pipes on my old bike, but definitely louder than stock.
Nice deep tone on my 131. Not too raspy sound, more of a tuned sound. Make plenty of noise when you crack the throttle though. Fit & finish flawless on black with contrast cut tips...

I was looking for something that would accent the deep rumble without being obnoxiously loud on the road for my '21 street glide special. These are amazing. Chest thumping deep rumble at idle and you can still hear the radio at cruise. These are what you seek.
The mufflers came quickly and arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. The chrome is some of the best I've ever seen. The installation was easy and straight forward. In the past I've always used Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle street cannons in the past,but these Torquer 450's are far better. The sound is not too loud, but now the bike sounds like a Harley should and the look is big and beautiful.

Very impressed with these pipes. They have a nice deep rumble to them but they are not so loud that you can't think while riding. They arrived very well protected in the box and look great on my 21 limited. This is the 4th set of Vance and Hines pipes Ive had on my bikes over the years. Great product

The Torquer 450 were better than expected. i had watched several YouTube videos on exhaust. i expected to install an additional bracket. however, these pipes installed with existing hardware. The install was easy, the sound is great, and performance of the bike is great.

Vance & Hines 41/2 Torquer Slip Ons
I've had these V&H slip ons for about a year now. They sound great, deep rumble that you would expect from V&Hs but not obnoxiously loud.
Easy install, great sound and performance. Used with V02 Naked under stock cover and FP3 tuner.

I like the deeper sound of these slip-ons however I thought they would be a bit louder than they are. I put twin slash slip-ons from Vance and Hines on my 883Iron and its sounds great and runs great. I also had to modify the bracket on the left side to adjust the muffler so it was centered between the bag cut out and the fender fairing. The left side was centered right side 1/2 off. I probably would have given higher rating if it wasnt for the poor fit, it just didnt bolt on straight.

I do love these pipes, 10k on them now and just as happy as the day I installed them.
Put these on with minimal tools in about 2 hours. They sound fantastic and added some HO and torque. They also have great instructions and the finish is second to none!

I 100% love these slip-ons. Love the sound while I'm on the road. This was a very good investment for my 2020 Harley Street Glide. These slip-ons don't give that I'm about to run out of gas at a stop sign either. I definitely recommend these for other riders out there on the road. You will not regret these. Even my girlfriend loves the way these sound while she is riding and they aren't too loud to where she cannot hear me or her music.

overall I'm very pleased with these. I coupled them with the V&H power dual header and fuel pak fp3, at an idle and rev these sound spectacular, under loa (pulling down the road) these still sound good but to me seem too open, almost like it could sound better with a 3.5 instead of the 4.5, just seems to throaty with not enough bass. Still happy with them though, even a fuel injected bike can sound cammed up ??
Add the power duals to the torquer 450 and fp3. Night and day from stock. Sounds great. Perfect tone. But maybe too loud. Might tend to add earplugs. Overall very happy with the purchase.
These mufflers added a little bit of base to the sound, but are still on the quieter side. However, the power increase was very noticeable. Very happy with them. May add the V&H head pipes when I change out the air cleaner...keep you posted.
2020 RGS, I went round and round trying to decide if these would be the right pipes for me, I am so happy with my purchase. These have a great look and the sound was so much more then I expecting. I have not upgraded to stage 1 and still have the cat in place, these still sound great and will hold me over till then.
As always, Vance and Hines doesn't disappoint. Great looking product, perfect fitment. Not loud, but a good base tone. Very noticeable difference in performance, even on the stock headers. I'm planning on changing out the head pipes at some point, but just wanted to make it sound a little more like a Harley.<br /><br />Great mufflers! Only thing I would have liked would be uppercut slash end caps.
No tune or headers required. I was looking for an exhaust that didn't require spending an arm and a leg on. Sounds great and you can really tell the difference in performance. Vance and Hines never disappoints. Easy bolt on.

2020 Road Glide Special<br />These pipes went on easy as pie in replacement of the stock pipes. The sound is more throaty and but it's not near as loud as a long shot/straight pipe. Great upgrade from the factory sound. <br />They fit perfectly under the bags without any issues.

Installed on a 2018 Ultra Limited with M8. Extremely satisfied. Reminds me of my uncle's Sportster 1000 from 1978. Nice rumble when at idle. Sounds like a Harley should. Not too load but you know it's there when you roll on the throttle.
Simply by putting on my new Vance & Hines Torquer 450's, my 18 RGS has awaken.<br />Not only a great sounding bike, but I notice better power, and fuel economy. I am very pleased with my choice to purchase them.

After a year and a half, I found the sound. I've always enjoyed the sound of V&H on other bikes but did not feel that the sound was right for my bike. I've listened to many pipes but none caught my ear. Until the Torquer 450's. It's not over loud but it reminded of Harley-Davidson I use to hear when I was a kid (The RUMBLE). You can't go wrong with the Torquer 450's. Just as slip on they are Amazing. Let me tell you this, they are so good after my son heard them on my 2019 Road Glide is going to replace his Rinehart DBX45 with the Torquer 450 on his 2019 Street Glide. It's a buy.
Completely changed the look and the sound of the bike. V&H has knocked it out with this exhaust. Took about 45min to change out myself, all parts included in the box. Highly reccomend if you are starting to make easy upgrades to your bike.

I love them. They are much louder than the high outputs and a deeper sound. If you want a loud and great sound, this is it.
Replaced the stock mufflers on my 17 Street Glide Special. The new Vance and Hines Torquer 450's have that deep, throaty tone that I was looking for without the "pop" and without being obnoxiously loud. I can still hear my stock fairing speakers at highway speeds as well. I would definitely recommend these mufflers if you're like me and want that classic Harley sound without being overbearing.
