I love this product! I was looking for a solution for my 2016 Harley Davidson Low Rider S. I simply wanted to get the HD sound I was looking for from my stock 110 CI Screamin Eagle.<br /><br />I just picked up my bike from the dealer from my 1000 mile service and I posed the question to the service manager, "Do I need to tune my fuel system on my bike for the V & H Slip on Exhaust", and his answer was "NO".<br /><br />I installed the mufflers myself in an hour, hard part was getting the old ones to wiggle off.<br /><br />The mounting bracket supplied with the mufflers had to be slightly modified as the mounting hole was drilled to 1/2 " bolt, the HD stock bolt that must be reused is 5/8". So get out your drill and a uni-bit and drill out the bracket just a little to accommodate the 5/8" bolt.<br /><br />Runs great, sounds phenomenal, and turns heads!!!

These slip-ons are about 3-4" shorter than stock, are actual pipes/mufflers as compared to most stock Harley pipes. I have a 2016 FXDLS (Low Rider S) and these slip ons fit, except for one part. The mounting bracket bolt on my bike is 5/8" while the bracket supports a 1/2" bolt. So the only hiccup I had was to drill out a minor slot for my bike's original bolt to fit through the bracket. Otherwise, these are perfect. Although would definitely recommend the competition baffles for a throatier and more enjoyable ride.
Exactly the tone and noise level I was looking for!
This is my second set of slip-ons for my 2015 FXDWG. I tried a cheaper option which were little better than head pipe extensions and sounded like I was being chased by machine gun fire. These are far more robust and provide outstanding deep bass tone.<br /><br />Decibel for decibel, these are only slightly louder than the Screamin' Eagle option for the Dynas. I attribute that to the fact that the SEs are more mid-tone. Bass sound travels further than higher tones, so these do have a completely different (in my opinion, better) presence than the SEs. These are significantly louder than the stock horror that comes with the bike by a good 10-12 decibels. Stock runs around 75 dB, these are around 87 dB- 90 dB at idle based on my totally janky iPhone decibel meter. If that sounds like a bit much for you, I'd still recommend these, but pick up the quiet baffle option for them.<br /><br />These settle down nicely at speed, I can hear them, but they're certainly not overwhelming at all. For example you could easily hear a radio setup if you had such a thing on your bike. They have a lovely, deep roar when you spin up the throttle, then settle into a low rumble as you boogie along. A major advantage is that I can now easily tell where I am on my RPM curve, whereas with the stock pipes, I was constantly looking down at my gauge because I could barely hear the engine. As Harley pipes go, these are not terribly obnoxious, but people will definitely know you're around, which is exactly what I was looking for.<br /><br />Install was simple, which was good because the instructions were a bit lacking. Since I'd installed slip-ons before, this was very straight-forward. Just had to add a small metal adapter to the frame, then installed the heat shields to each muffler and on they went. They slipped right on to the head pipes without any issues. Total setup time was about 45 minutes after I got out all the tools. Much of that was wiggling off the old mufflers.<br /><br />I bought these with the intent of also picking up the V&H FP3 fuel tuner, but I thought I'd see how much decel pop I was going to get before putting out the moolah for a fuel controller. I had already had my EFI map flashed by the Harley dealership to a richer setting after I put on a heavy breather, but these guys are popping pretty bad on the hills. Unless that doesn't bug you, you'll need to either get a fuel controller of some stripe, or have your EFI reset at a shop. No big deal, as that's likely true for any after-market slip-ons.

I put these on at 600 miles. I wish I had left the dealership with them on. My 2014 Dyna Fat Bob went from sounding like a sewing machine to a real road beast. The perfect combination of throaty sound and throttle response. Installation was about an hour, most of which was fitting stock Harley clamps on. Plus they are about six inches shorter than stock pipes. Harley-Davidson should be ashamed that their stock bikes don't sound this good. I've already ordered the Vance and Hines VO2 Duke and cannot wait to see the difference. I would recommend these slipons to anyone as the quality is of the highest quality.

This was an awesome buy! I wanted to make my 2014 Fat Bob, sound like a Harley, and these V and H slip-on didn't disappoint!!!! don't let the "slip-on" confuse you...they are MUCH LOUDER than stock! If you want a cost effective way of customizing your ride...go with these! Took me less than an hour to install, and I know nothing about "being a mechanic"!
2017 Fat Bob, 103 - A world of difference
I ordered these mufflers not knowing how much they would actually improve the stock sound. I had seen pro and con about them. When they were put on sale at 20% off I went ahead and pulled the trigger. All I can say is, WOW. These mufflers are perfect. They more than tripled the sound output, my Harley Fat Bob now sounds like a Harley. Installation was a breeze. I put these on the stock headers which has the catalytic converter in them. I am very pleased. Highly recommend.

Bought these for my '17 Dyna Wide Glide. I was very skeptical at first having come off a 2017 softail breakout with Vance and Hines big radius exhaust. I watched countless YouTube video reviews of these slip ons -none of which overly impressed me. Granted, the sound from a video does the in-person impression no justice. <br /><br /> Well boys and girls, these mufflers are the real deal. Sounds arguably as good as the Big Radius at half the cost. I went with my gut, and stuck with Vance and Hines. Incredibly glad I did. I won't argue the difference in performance between these and a full set up, but the sound is just as good.
Didn't know what I was missing
I purchased my wide glide last month when the riding weather was non-existent in VT. Every once in a while I would run out to the garage and fire it up just to listen to it. It kept me happy for the time being. Then I put these pipes on it. It became a completely different animal! <br /><br />These pipes sound great and were super easy to put on! They still pop every now and then on the overrun so a re-flash might be in my future but nothing I can't live with. Now it sounds like a real Harley!

I just installed these on my 2015 Harley Dyna wide glide and they were so simple. Got rid of the "old sewing machine" sounding stock exhaust. They were very easy to install and only took me about 30 mins once I got my old exhaust clamps to slide on. Everything fit perfectly. Definently recommend these if you are looking for that "harley" sound but on a budget.
2017 Harley Dyna FB - Huge Improvement over Stock
If looking to upgrade from stock, I would highly recommend considering these Twin Slash Slip-On Mufflers. Actually the word "muffler" is open to some interpretation as these are not mufflers in any conventional sense. They are definitely not as loud as some of the Radius and Short Shots pipes I've heard, but they do produce a very nice low rumble that is MUCH louder than stock. And, at least in my experience, extremely easy to install. So, if you're looking to make a big improvement over stock at a reasonable cost, this is a great deal.

Like most people I had to make the hole in mounting plate bigger. Also like most people I found the instructions somewhat lacking, but easy enough with my mediocre mechanic skills. Fast, free shipping had them to me in less than 48 hrs. Look and sound great.

I looked high and low for a product that accomplished my goal of making my Wide Glide sound like a Harley but also not look too "tricked out." I orderd these and installed them myself In under 45 minutes. They sound great right out of the box the best way to describe the sound would be that my bike sounded like what a Harley should sound like right off the show room floor. I was looking for something a little more agressive sounding in a pleasant way so the next day I installed the competition baffles and WOW I was blown away and pumped up. It took me another 25 minutes or so to get all the hose clamps, heat shields and bolts facing the direction that I wanted them, etc. Great buy. My 17' Wide Glide is completely stock other than these and it runs so much better with the new mufflers. It runs so much better to the point that I am seriously debating the need for FP3 and an air filter. Great Buy!
Sound at a cost, incorrect mounting
I got these because I just bought my low rider S and wanted more sound, the 2 in 1 pipes I ultimately want are quite a bit more $ than I wanted to spend right now and I kinda like the shotgun look of the stock setup. The fit and finish on these slip-ons is great and the resulting sound is fantastic, however the mounting did not work at all since the bolts provided were too small in diameter to thread and the mounting bracket hole was too small diameter to use the stock mounting bolt. I ended up drilling the mounting bracket hole larger to accommodate the stock mounting bolt's diameter but could only bolt the bracket on the one side since I only had one stock bolt to fit those threads and it wasn't long enough to go through the entire bracket and add a nut to the bottom. This is completely unacceptable from Vance and Hines for $400! Can you guys please make it more clear that this will not work with stock 2017 HD Low Rider S without modifications? Do I contact Vance and Hines with my findings? I have a few photos. I feel like I should get credited for the extra labor I had to invest for installing a part that DOES NOT FIT the motorcycle for which it is specified! I had to reduce overall rating to 3 because this mounting fail was super frustrating for the brand and price paid.
If you're keeping stock Harley headers, you need these
I ordered these slip ons to replace a set of Cobra slip ons (and black out the bike) and what a difference. The bike has a lot more bark without being obnoxiously loud. I like the stock headers and look of the tommy gun heat shields on my Harley so I didn't go the full system route. The only advantage the previous slip ons had is the ease of installation. These aren't hard to install, they just aren't as intuitive as the Cobra's. I also ordered and installed the competition baffles.

Does not fit 2017 Dyna FXDWG
I have installed V&H slip-ons and full exhaust systems on four other bikes, so I know what I am doing. The first surprise was how the muffler slipped onto the exhaust with almost no contact. At first it was a nice thought that I would not have to fight it, but then realized it was not going to make a seal at all. Then the real trouble was the exhaust clamps - there is no way these are fitting over the larger end of the muffler. I am very frustrated with the poor quality control coming out of V&H. It is a Saturday and I have a disassembled motorcycle that I can't ride unless I put the stock back together. Very frustrating!
Great upgrade with options to swap baffles
I love these mufflers. Vance and Hines allows you to choose which baffle you want. I opted for the performance baffle. Swapping the baffles out are very easy. Just be careful as you have to line up the threaded hole in the baffle with the hole in the muffler. The screw that secures the baffle to the muffler has a patch of locktite already in it so that?s awesome. Mounting hardware is also very nice. Good thick material and fasteners allowed me to torque everything down good. I probably over torque a bit but the muffler is a part of the bike that will vibrate a lot on the rubber mounted 103 Dynas. My bike has broken bolts on me before I started torquing the bolts down good.

Excellent slip-ons for your Harley give you that HD sound. <br />These are fairly easy to install but extremely difficult to prevent exhaust leaks where the slip-on meets the main pipe.
Seem like good pipes. Were a little shorter and lighter weight than the stock ones. <br />Stock exhaust clamps from a Harley 103 twin cam do not fit these pipes, and you will need the Vance and Hines set.

Doesn't Fit the FXDLS without Modification. Overall not great.
Ordered this for my Low Rider S. I read the reviews saying they might need a bit of modification. I would questionably say these do not fit the FXDLS. The OEM mounting bolt you are supposed to reuse does not fit in the bracket. The supplied nut and washer for said bolt also don't fit. They said you could reuse the OEM exhaust claps, but they will not fit over the end of the slip-ons without majorly bending the slip-on end. Tried to find the Vance and Hines recommended clamps, but they are nowhere to be found (also, why are they not included if I'm paying this much). The black heat shield will scratch very easily. Directions are just written with minimal pictures. This would have been my 3rd slip-on install for motorcycles, but after opening the box I am less than impressed. I decided to return it before installing so I could get an easy refund. I will be looking for a different exhaust. I'm disappointed because they look great, but definitely not worth the hassle.

Im always a bit hesitant to modify my bike because I am FAR from someone who knows what they are doing beyond the instructions. However, this mod was a snap! Took me less than an hour total and it completely changed the sound of my bike! I really wish I had done this sooner!!!

Simple, easy
Simple and easy to install. Just be careful with the finish on the black. Make sure to order exhaust gaskets and perhaps some new clamps when you get these. Changed out stock Tommy guns on my 2017 Fxdf. Got tired of everyone I know telling me my bike was too quiet. Put these things on and it's night and day. Not extremely loud but good enough to get noticed.

just exactly what i wanted Great sound with out being obnoxious and look great too..<br /><br />Very easy to install, as stated in other reviews the black powder coating is VERY soft chipped it by dropping a socket on it from about 3 inches above durring the install and made rub marks buy wiping down with cheep paper towels to get off the fingerprints

2016 Low Rider S<br />Install:<br />Instructions are ok overall.<br />No mounting bolt for bracket/they expect stock one to work but too short. If you stick with 3/8 bolt will have to drill out mounting bracket to accommodate.<br />Stock exhaust clamps are way tight and won't slip on without an extreme fight and instructions say they recommend Vance and Hines clamps but for the prize should just be included. (Assuming they would fit better)<br /><br />Finish:<br />The black matches exactly to stock finish.<br /><br />Sound:<br />Great improvement over stock exhaust without being too loud.

Good Sound, not crazy loud it brings back the Torque/Power, no popping/farting. When tuned with the FP3, the combination is Perfect.

I just installed these on my '17 Low Rider S and they sound absolutely beastly! Definitely what I was looking for to startle those who are driving and texting.<br /><br />If you are planning on installing on a '17 FXDLS, please keep in mind that you WILL have to modify the mount bracket, just like others have said, by drilling and making the bolt holes bigger. I drilled the holes just slightly larger than a 3/8.<br /><br />Also, as noted in the Q/A, you WILL need a longer mount bolt. Get a 3/8-16 2" bolt, and you'll be good.

Put these on my 2016 Low Rider S and they sound great! Swapped the baffles with a competition baffle and it made a big difference. Add a FP3 and the bike really hauls
Perfect fitment, sounds great...even with my deleted cat. Louder but not obnoxious...just the sound I expected from V & H (have had their exhaust on a previous bike), as well as a nice chromed finish with logo on the shields. No complaints!

I took a chance to see if these pipes would fit a harley davidson dyna low rider s and yes they fit and work great , I love the tone of the pipes , theses pipes fit after vance and hines said they didn't have anything that would fit , sounds like vance and hines need to update there list

I bought my first harley and didn't want to committ to full exhaust just yet and didn't want to have the bike tuned so I went with these slip ons. I was just not pleased with the the sound of my new bike and these slip ons delivered. Easy to install took about 45 minutes my bike only had about 10 miles on it so the old tips were easier to take off than one with more miles on it..I did however go ahead and buy the performance baffles that opened up the throat of the slip ons up and wow sounds great at about 3500 and up it is loud as you want without hearing loss. I have a 2016 fat bob. And there was no modification needed to the hardware. Use the stock mounting bracket. A word of advice though it's much easier to take them off individually then was easier for me to assemble them to the new bracket and slip on as a pair. You may not have same experience. The baffles on the other hand were a little trickier to repl ace but not bad. Hope this is helpful..

Big Difference
Definitely a noticeable difference in performance and sound. Super easy to install on my 2014 Seventy-Two and looks amazing too!<br />You might want to purchase an auto tuner with this purchase. I got the V&H Fuelpak FP3.
I was a little disappointed that these mufflers did not come with the header pipe heat shields. . .my fault for not reading the description completely. I have chrome on my 09 Fatbob and wanted to go all black. . .I bought the black mufflers and installed them behind the stock chrome header shields and actually I think I really like the chrome/black look. The install was fairly simple, though I did have a difficult time getting my original muffler clamps over the front end of the new mufflers. After making sure all nuts were tight, I started the bike. It started right up, quicker (with only 2 cranks of the starter) than it has before. I gave the bike a quick run up and down the highway close to the house and noticed a smoother throttle response and perhaps a little more power (though that is difficult for me to tell). The mufflers are loud, not too loud but loader than the punched out stock mufflers that I took off. I really like the sound, it definitely has a noticeable "growl" going through the gears. If you're like me, wanting to upgrade from your stock exhaust but just not able to spend $700 give these mufflers a try. You won't be disappointed. Ride Safe!!!

Great slip-on setup for an excellent price. No modifications necessary and fit perfect. I like that the spirally-baffled mufflers have just enough sound without ringing the ears, being obnoxious, and make it sound like a muscle cruiser should. ('14 FXDF Fat Bob, will run lean/a little hot without tuning and pop on deceleration a little, as a precaution on this bike...FP3 fixed it right up, though). Product was packaged well and showed up with no defects/on time.

First off let me mention the shipping. Wow. I placed my order late on a Saturday evening and the pies arrived early the following Tuesday afternoon. The installation was fairly easy and only took about 30 minutes. The factory clamps are a little tight but do fit with a little patience. As far a sound, these things are awesome! I was a little disappointed when I picked up my new 2015 Wide Glide and it sounded like a sewing machine. Not anymore! She finally sounds like a Harley should!

Awesome product, great sound, and some additional performance when paired with a tuner and air cleaner. If you are looking to get around the harley tax without breaking the bank on a full system and the extra's to make the system run right on the bike then this is perfect. Easy install with hand tool and a little know how.

100% Happy with this purchase. I rated 4 stars due to the use of the stock exhaust clamps. Had issues getting the clamps large enough to install and tighten. Took an extra hour to get it to work, but once I got a method down, the second tip went on fairly easy.

Mufflers came in but the installation instructions recommend you get the v&h clamps. They were right, however, they aren't available through JP. Called factory direct and bought the clamps from them. What should have been about a 45 minute change over took over a week. Either V&H should supply the clamps with the product or JP should carry them.
With minimal effort to install, the sound really brought my 2010 Dyna WideGlide to life. For the price, you cant go wrong.
The mufflers are easy to install and the sound is fantasic.
I bought them until I could afford the V&H Black 2 into 2 exhaust, fuel pack & custom air filter ($$$). Not as loud as I'd like. But, a lot better than stock, plus they look good!
