About Road Glide Seats
Danny Gray makes nearly everything in this collection, with two Wild Ass cushions as the exception. The line-up reads like a menu: TourIST seats in vinyl, leather and Diamond Stitch, Weekday and Longhaul two-up seats, Bigseat and Speedcradle solo seats, and Short Hop low seats written for 2008 and later touring. Prices run from about $115 for the cushion to $760 for the top Danny Gray seats.
Reading the Danny Gray names
IST means Danny Gray's Independent Suspension Technology seat base, and Air versions add an air bladder. Diamond Stitch is a pattern. Tall and Standard describe height, and Solo and 2-Up describe seating. Some titles note the 2024 Street Glide and Road Glide, which is useful if you have a newer bike.
Tags run from 2001 to 2026, but Danny Gray seats are generally matched to the touring frame style, so the year of your bike matters. Seat shape also changes how far back you sit relative to the bars, an effect worth thinking about if you also plan to change handlebars.
The seat options sit in a clear price band: Danny Gray listings run from about $290 to $760, with the Standard Touring Speedcradle solo seat at the low end and the TourIST Tall 2-Up Air-2 near the top. Wild Ass cushions are the budget route for an existing seat.
