Shocks, fork upgrades and lowering parts for Road Glide models.

About Road Glide Suspension

A Road Glide carries its fairing on the frame, which loads the fork differently than a batwing bike, and the catalog reflects that with a lot of fork work. Harddrive leads this collection with Scepter 25 cartridge kits, Bazooka rear shocks in 12 and 13 inches and silver steering dampers. FOX contributes IFP and QS3-QSR rear shocks, as well as Street Performance fork cartridge kits in 41mm and 49mm sizes.

Springs, cartridges and shocks

Race Tech supplies the spring and valve side: High Performance fork springs in weights from 0.80kg to 1.30kg, Gold Valve cartridge emulators, and Milwaukee-Eight spring kits. Arnott covers air suspension, from a basic Smooth Ride kit to its FOX Series air shocks. Burly Brand adds Slammer rear shocks, rear lowering blocks and Lowboy fork lowering kits. All Balls rounds things out with fork seals, steering bearings and swingarm bearings.

Fork cartridges and springs are matched to the fork diameter, so the 41mm and 49mm split in the titles matters, and the Lowboy kits are year-specific, listed for ranges such as 2014-2016 and 2017-2022. Read those ranges against your bike. Prices start under $20 for fork seals and top out above $1,800 for Arnott air shocks.

Road Glide Suspension FAQ

What is the difference between Race Tech springs and a full cartridge kit?
The springs set the fork rate, while a cartridge kit or Gold Valve emulator also changes how the fork damps. The catalog lists both as separate products, so you can add springs alone or go further.
How do I tell a 41mm fork part from a 49mm one?
The tube size is printed in the product title for the FOX and Harddrive cartridge kits. Touring forks changed in size over time, so match the year range as well.
Do the Burly Lowboy kits work on any Road Glide?
They are listed in three year bands (2014-2016, 2017-2022 and a Softail and Touring 2018-2023 version), so check which band covers your bike.
Why does the list include Dyna-listed FOX shocks?
Some products carry multi-fit titles that mention Dyna models along with touring. Confirm that your Road Glide is named on the fitment line before ordering.
