Road King Suspension
Shocks and suspension upgrades for Road King riders.
About Road King Suspension
The Road King has been built for so long that its suspension page covers more eras than any other model here. Tags run from 1994 to 2025, and you will see older-bike items like Burly Adjust-A-Ride kits for 1989-1999, rear lowering blocks for 1985-1996, 1997-2001, 2002-2008 and 2009-2016, and Colony Machine fork tube plugs for 1984-2001 touring.
Modern shocks and forks
For newer bikes, Harddrive Bazooka and Racing Bros shocks, FOX IFP and QS3-QSR shocks and Arnott air shocks sit alongside Race Tech spring kits and Gold Valve emulators. Fork cartridge kits come from Harddrive and FOX, with the Harddrive Scepter 25 offered for both 41mm (2006-2013) and 49mm (2014-2024) forks. A Wild 1 adjustable lowering kit is listed for Evo Softails, a reminder that some multi-fit entries leak in from other families.
Burly Brand dominates the lowering side, so riders chasing a lower seat height have more choices here than on most pages. Slammer shocks come in 10.5 and 11.5 inches, and Lowboy fork kits are split by year. All Balls swingarm and steering bearings help with maintenance.
Prices cover a wide span. Colony Machine tube plugs and All Balls seal kits cost under $30, Harddrive Bazooka and Burly Slammer shocks sit in the low to mid hundreds, and FOX QS3-QSR remote reservoir shocks and Arnott FOX Series air shocks climb past $1,600.
